Who do you think Mullens's best band is....I love those guys from Fallen Rock. Great guys, great musicians, and realy nice to their fans. One of the few bands that will do a show to help out people in the community.

I happen to agree about FRB! I love those guys. A former FRB member is related to me, and all of them seem like family, even the one who replaced my relative. They truly do care about the community, and any one of them would give you the shirt of his back!

We can't forget Cheat River, though. FRB may corner the classic rock market, but these guys have the country music one!

I do like those frb boys. Cheat River is alright and they sound good but seems that they are a bit stuck up when they play. Jason and those guys are always joking around with everyone when they play. I realy like that new guitar guy. He is one nice looking hunk of a man. Got to get some more info on him.

I'm sure the new guitar player is good...but I KNOW he can't hold a candle to the old one!!! LOL...Of course, I may be a little prejudiced!!( that's what mom's are for!)

Lol, actualy both jeremy and chris, god rest his soul, are phenomonal musicians. I have been a big fan of jeremy for along time. I have known both of them. The two new guys are not to shabby though, especialy brandon. To be so young he is extremely talented and has a very bright future ahead of him in music. Rich, the other guitar player is about the most solid rhythem player around. He can do fills like no one else and makes their sound alot thicker during solo's and is one of the few true rhythem players. He has done an extremely good job filling in when chad went back to drums. And I know for a fact that they are both huge fans of jeremy. They think the world of him and have a huge respect for him.

Knew delen also. Another musician who should have been playing pro somewhere. He left us way to soon like chris. He is without a doubt the best drummer to ever come from around this area, maybe even the whole state. And a great guy. I know the frb also have talked about him alot and the fun they always had with him. I think thats what makes that band so likable, they dont down anyone in music. They seem to try to help local and struggling musicians instead of putting them down no matter the level of talent. Something very rare in musicians today.

I was talking to one of them a while ago and jeremy to them is still a brother and still part of the band. He always has an open spot waiting anytime he wants. Most bands would have never done that in a million years. Those guys are good enough to easily work 3 guitars in just as easy as they do two. Would be wonderful to see a band of that caliber with 3 super guitar players on stage at the same time and know they are local boys. I hope he does play with them at dogwood because it would be a nice homecoming for them.

Cheat River and Fallen Rock are great local talent and it's great to be able to catch them both when they play in town. I wished Fallen Rock played more. What about other bands from other generations. How long have these guys been playing. Anyone know?

Well, I am a bit taken back with the compliments so first and foremost...thanks. My daughter happened across topix tonight and told me that people were talking about FRB. I am one of the new guitar players for them. To directly answer some things that were brought up Delen is an outstanding drummer. That guy taught alot of the up and comming guys what a pro drummer needs to sound like. He and Chris left a big void in the music community. Jeremy, like the person said, is still a member and a brother to the band members, especially us new guys. He is an awsome player and an awsome person and I personaly think that him in the lineup at dogwood would be phenominal. As a quick but not hugely accurate band history is that Mark, chad, jason, david paul and jeremy started playing in about middle school or early high school. Mark had to leave couple of years ago due to his job, chad moved to drums, chris played rhythem/lead with jeremy. Jeremy had to cut back on playing because of his job I think, David got seriously hurt in the mines, Chris left this earth to early, they picked brandon up and then myself a few shows later. Thats not a 100% accurate but close. Oh, we will be playing martys for new years and will be opening for lee greenwood and billy jo royal for the dogwood. We are so excited to be playing for home folk. Again, I realy want to thank everyone for the compliments. For amount of years playing I would almost bet close to 15 years or more for the original guys.

I'm so happy to be reading all of this positivity about bands here, but especially about Fallen Rock! I love all of these guys. Rich, I don't know you very well yet, but I can see from what I'm reading here that you are a stand-up guy. Everything you have written is the truth. More people should be like you.

Most people realize by now that Jeremy is my brother. I love him, and I have to say that he will always be the number one guitar player in my life. That said, I love Brandon, too. I taught him in high school. He's a wonderful guy with a heck of a lot of talent. He's nice to have around. His wife is pretty cool, too!

I can remember when Jeremy first started playing.
We had gone on a trip to his uncles place in Kentucky one summer and I had brought my guitar along with me as always. We were there one week,I showed him pretty much everything that I knew and boy did he pick it up fast. That Christmas his dad got him an electric guitar. During the following spring break,Jeremy and his sister came to North Carolina to stay a week with me and their mom. He brought his guitar. He plugged in and said "listen to what I learned". Well, I expected to hear about the same kind of stuff I had known after I had been playing for about a year. I stood there amazed as he blazed through the solo from Ozzy's
Mr. Crowley. Blew me away, kinda pissed me off also cause' I had been playing for about 10 years and I couldn't touch that kind of stuff. Hell 20 years later I still can't. He is a pure natural guitarist. I've only got to see FRB a few times down through the years and they have always put on a great show. With Jeremy, Chad is an excellent guitarist and drummer, Paul played a real mean bass (and pretty good on the harmonica too), Mark was always a good drummer and Jason's vocals were always pretty much on the money. Add to the fact that they are all just plain good people . I haven't seen the new lineup ,but I hope to at the Dogwood . I love live music and I will say that they are not only one of the best to come out of Mullens, but out of southern W.Va. I would most certainly put them right up there with Atomic Jo,
A Noted Author and all the other good bands from our area.Hope they keep rockin' till' they just can't go anymore.

Actualy their lead singer Darren is a good friend of mine. That was more or less their debut and I thought they were outstanding. Darren and I have jammed around for years and he comes over the house and me and him play out in the garage. You can get more info on them on their myspace page under felonguys. Check them out. Its nice to see another caliber band come out of the wood work and make such a great first impression.
