Good luck! I sent emails to Vann and Bakker and they never responded.

It appears that all that has been achieved by this thread is that the business now has a bigger mess than they had before.

Mike Huff should make him clean it up. The building belongs to him.
We all know the reason why they don't have to clean it up.The same way everything else in Sallisaw works. It depends on who you are.Different strokes for different folks.

It's not only a mess but dangerous to children. Please do something about this.

I don't like the mess any more than anyone else. But if this is a safety hazard for your children maybe you need to keep a better eye on them.

I went to City Hall and asked questions from code enforcement, there is no code on books to stop this mess. I really didn't think that our Mayor was in favor of this mess, nobody would want it next door to their business. It's up to us, the people of Sallisaw to request our City Commissioners to write regulations concerning this. I think this is necessary and with enough requests I believe that our City will take care of this. I realize that there are people that will argue with me on this, but I am not looking for an argument, I am seeking people that care enough about this City that they would politely request this of their City Commissioner and Mayor. Let's try working together in a positive manner.
It seems like I remember a few years back, some lawn mower repair guys were made to move their mowers.

That's the difference between zoned commercial or residential.

Commerical or not, it's an eyesore and needs to be cleaned up.

You should see it now. More appliances have been added.

You know, it is an eyesore out there. But that guy does good work. He fixed my oven and dishwasher good as new and I was ready to pay for new ones. I was out a $100 instead of replacing both the entire units. Where can you find repairmen for stuff in this day and age? So yes he might be a hoarder but he provides a viable service to our town.

Thanks Mr. Huff, now would you please tell your tenant to clean the place up?

It doesn't matter how well he repairs appliances. His place looks terrible and if Shannon Vann was the mayor he should be he would have it cleaned up.

It bothers me that the "Businessman" in this case has made the mess bigger, not smaller since receiving complaints and being in newspaper. This sends a clear message, neither he or the property owner care about our downtown.

Would you people be happier if it was a body shop with wrecked cars sitting there or a welding shop with scrap metal. This is a commercial area, not a school zone. Find something productive to occupy yourselves

Wrecking yards are often "required" to fence in the offensive vision of wrecked cars and junk from the public. Perhaps that is a solution?

They wouldn't like the looks of the fence either.
