I hope you all are proud of yourself, just think of the heartbreak you put your mom through and the shame that your dad feels about now. Don't you know that this stupid stunt will follow you for the REST OF YOUR LIFE !!!

That four young mens future has been destroyed because "there was nothing better to do" in Sallisaw. I do not condone their actions in any way but what exactly is there for our kids here? A dilapidated old movie theatre that wreaks of mold and reuses old chili and cheese weekly, a skating ring that has death trap potholes in the floor and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE! Instead of buying more cop cars, how about we do something for our kids. Open a Chuckie Cheese type place or an arcade with security so we know they are safe. A movie theatre with at least TWO SCREENS that don't smell like mold would be at least a start. Our children are dying and ruining their life because they are bored to death in this run down not fit for retirement community. You want to do some good Lockhart, do something for the kids instead of label them losers. Children live up to our expectations, why not raise our expectations and we just might be surprised. I feel for the families of these young men.

So ur saying that boredom is a reason for vandalism? I, to a point, understand what you're getting at, but at the same token, I grew up in Sallisaw as did many of my friends who are still in Sallisaw, and not one of us are in jail. I'm not saying that its not possible that boredom is why they really did this, but maybe they just thought they were being bad-asses.

This is not the 1st time that kids have got together and vadalized something out of boredom. i know of @ least 2 other incidents that are similar to this. Granted, they were just bashing car windows of actual owners while they drove down the road and destroying mailboxes w/ golf clubs and baseball bats. Look in the paper archives, if they bothered to cover it. This happens more than you think.

kids having fun now because they know they can get a slap on the wrist in Sequoyah County. Look at the newspaper stories. People being arrested and then turned lose only to go thru the revolvong doog while your state representative sits in the county commissioners meeting room drunk watching election returns. Only in Sequoyah County.

That's what I'm saying... they are just young men blowing steam because they are bored. They only stolen, burned and vandalized stuff. Give the kids a break!

If kids are bored... they need more chores... more home life... boredom is not an excuse for vandalism...It is an excuse for teens to get their kicks...get a high so to speak!!!! there are things kids can do...even if they live in a small town...

why were the keys left in the school buses? That's like leaving your vehicles unlocked and things are stolen from them. no common sense!

Are you kidding or just nutz. These kids are criminals and need to be in prison for a long long time. If we were to build them any kind of new facility, they would vandalize it or burn it. Bordom is not the problem. The problem is that they have no respect for anyone or anything. Their so called boredom has cost our community millions of dollars and effected thousands of lives. Has anyone even considered the real victims who are going to school in churches and trailers without any text books and are forced to eat sandwitches everyday because they have no kitchen or lunchroom. There is absolutely NO justification for the pain that they have caused.

yes, i can see where your coming from. it is far better to put the "kids" in prison to be raped, brutalized, and turned into even better criminals to be released back into our community. After all, replaceable insured material things are worth so much more than human life! Invest all those tax dollars on existing inmates instead of investing in worthwhile ventures for our children. i dont know any of these young men or their families but i would be devestated to be in their shoes.. Bible belt my eye! This place is pathetic!

look @ it this way, yes it is a bad thing to do. but now all those students and every generation will be better for this. how? well, if the public will act, the county can build a NEW, MODERN, BETTER equiped school for them. but if noone does anything, then they will try to use a bunch of mobile homes instead. i am not saying the excuse they gave is acceptable, i don't think anyone on here does. BUT, it IS a reason. hell, i guess they should have taken up the same hobbies as the other teenagers now a days. i.e. sexual deviancy @ the local average of 10-12 years old. inexperienced kids having babies make inexperienced parents that raise even less experianced kids. now, thats sound like a perfect solution to being bored.

These kids would have most likely trashed any recreation facility. I don't believe that more parks or a xbox 360 would have kept these young adults from stealing public property. They obviously had transportation to access places other than empty schools.

The real problem is that this wasn't a one time thing they did. They continued to commit crime after crime for thrills. They are only linking them to several crimes. There are most likely alot of other illegal things they were choosing to do that they have not been linked to. Hopefully some of them can turn their lives around with the state's help. It's going to take along time to pay for all their damages.

Where are the parents anyway? I have four children and can tell you precisely where they are at any given moment of the day! I have attended football games and watched as 4 and 5 year old boys were allowed to be body slammed by 10-12 year old and come up with bloody noses and busted lips and not a parent in site! I'm talking away games that were after school! Just leads me to wonder if maybe the parents shouldn't share some of the financial burden anyway. Just my opinion......and we all know that opinions are like body parts and we all have them.

Hang em, electrocute em, put em in front of a firing squad, tie em to the railroad tracks, drag em behind a car, tie em up and pour acid on em.
Just get em the hell out of society permanently.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Capricorn

This is a marvellous day for having a discreet word in someone's ear. You'll be able to choose your words carefully, making you very tactful and considerate, and as a result you will have a helpful conversation. This is also a good opportunity to talk about topics that are very dear to your heart, or which are usually too private to mention.
