Very easy to have that kind of surplus when you are using the USB as your personal savings account. Look into their books.

You need to remember, that any good news is either a lie or a cover up to a few people on here, and I mean a very few.

According to the Board of Works meeting minutes from a few months ago, there was a request made and granted for some sort of loan that was to be repaid when the city received some funds from the state.

Be interesting to know if that loan was returned from whatever place it came from.

These loans from USB have been going on for decades. USB is a quasi-govt unit.

So everyone knows, but you miss the bigger point. How can you be in the black if you owe money?

There is a difference between paying the bills, which is a result of some form of service, versus paying back a loan, which is giving more money back than which you borrow.

Don't tell me you're drinking that lime green koolaid too?

So the roads can get fixed? Frankfort is in the worst shape as far as infrastructure that I have ever seen. Perhaps making 28 through Frankfort ( both ways) into a toll road would be a GREAT start.

Thanks for the lesson on what it means to pay back a loan! All us stupid citizens out here should be grateful we have Tidbit to keep us on track, telling us what the bigger point really is.We should all revolt knowing that our politicians can just use the money trusted to them by us the tax payers in any fashion they want, not repaying if they so desire. We know that in their hearts they are just a bunch of out of control spoiled officials setting back laughing at us stupid citizens. The koolaid is a very popular in this town, and will be for awhile! May go down as one of the best drinks ever!

Out of control is an accurate statement given the amount of mooney thrown at past projects that the city and county had no business giving it to.

Jim Jones followers drank the koolaid. So it sounds as if you followers, which seem to be less and less, are ok with. Good for you.

Realistically, you cannot be out of debt if you owe money. It's simple economics.

Mock all you want, but the city and county combined could easily be 300,000 dollars better off if they had not given money to many things in the past that have already mentioned in other topix posts.

And it's really sad that you do the mocking instead of being able to provide solid documented evidence to refute what others post on here.
