I just wonder if people really have a clue what is going on? The county has 2 ambulances that are ALS, when these 2 are out, then we have a volunteer ambulance serving as back-up for Frankfort and the county. I want to thank the volunteers they are awesome in their endeavors. But why is it that I see an CC EMS ambulance sitting at surrounding counties restuarants and service stations. I think the tax payees have a right to know this and what is going on without lies and political ploys.

oh let me try to answer this brain teaser. maybe it's because they are taking an ambulance to be serviced and then maybe getting something to eat?

As long as they are going on calls, who gives a flying fu@k where they are? Theres a whole great big world outside of Frankfort and Clinton County. Quit obsessing about ambulances. Hasn't this horse been beaten to death already?

Exactly! Small-minded, Pot-stirring people who get off on spreading half-truths and innuendo. Anyone that doesn't follow the herd around here is cast as an A**hole. So many racist, republican minded people that can't fathom another point of view. What is really sad is that many of the Pot-stirrers are in County or city Govt. What's even more hilarious is watching all the fair weather sheep kiss a** to newly elected or new people in charge. They truly believe that no one will see through their facade. What a sad pitiful life some people lead, living vicariously through the lives of others. This world has great big problems, but these Neanderthals can't see the forest through the tres.

Just for the record, I am a Democrat, I also have volunteered with CCEMS in this county many years, not now though. I don't blame anyone just stating the obvious for you Neanderthals that like to call names and act like hicks. When we have 2 ambulances that are out of the County. Then only have 3 ambulances to respond to emergencies that are staffed with volunteers then what. No I am not active, no I am not a politician and no I am not a firefighter. Ok maybe the horse is beat but, what when you need an ambulance and 3 of them are on the interstate and you need one or your family does?????

We have central dispatch that keeps track and times on all the ambulances. Would they not be curious if these so called ambulances on duty were eating all of their meals at out of county restaurants? Have you checked their records and noted ambulances unaccounted for hours in other counties? No you have not because it is made up. What is it you are trying to imply. That when the ambulances were in Frankfort fire they never called a volunteer ambulance like Michigantown to cover the city? How many ambulances will make you feel safe?? There has to be a limit due to cost. The volunteers of this county have dedicated numberous hours of their time and lives to provide us with more care and coverage then we can afford. Don't post your made up issues on a forum that can do nothing but smear the careers of countless EMS personnel. Call immediately the EMS director or dispatch if you find lost Clinton County ambulances eating in other counties.

I have nothing bad to say about The personnel either paid or volunteer. I have friends on both. But what needs to be noted is that as usual. The people that need to know what's going on don't. I am Sure central dispatch knows when they go in service, leave and enter the county. We started this to have ALS. But how many times have we had BLS service. With both ALS ambulances out of the county. Why don't you publish that info. I am just asking questions? I am not with a political group or a city or county employee. Maybe the people making decisions should let people know what's going on. Instead of them getting a bill for a transfer that cost $1000 from Kats, just for a ride. But the County couldn't make money at it. I am sure I know several people that are wondering what's going on.

Clinton County has 2 staffed ambulances 24/7 and a third during daytime hours during the week. This is supplemented by 4 Clinton County volunteer trucks. (Kirklin, Michigantown, Colfax and Mulberry) and I'd imagine if the stuff hit the fan that Rossville would help with one of their two volunteer trucks. For information to those who do not understand, Rossville EMS is a stand alone service and is not a part of Clinton County EMS. I'm faily certain that all of the volunteer trucks say Clinton County EMS on them. I also failry certain that over the course of time, that the ambulances go to out of county hospitals(Tippecanoe, Howard, Boone, Tipton, Hamilton and every so often Indianapolis). I heard the other day that since this has been set up that a volunteer truck comes in to standby, which has been since the first of the year or so, they've been needed once. I know when I used to volunteer, that if we transported a patient to Lafayette, we would sometimes stop to grab a quick bite to eat, or stop at a filling station for a drink. In the whole scheme of things, Clinton County isn't very bad off at all. Up until a few years ago, Tippecanoe County had 4 staffed ambulances for all of West Lafayette, Lafayette, and the rest of the county(excluding Purdue) plus a volunteer truck at Clarks Hill, Otterbein, and Westpoint. Guess what, if the trucks were busy, they would call Westpoint up for coverage, then go down the list from there. Again up until a few years ago, Boone County had 3 staffed trucks and NO volunteer ambulances. They relied heavily on Lizton and Colfax for standby. Now they have 8 staffed at the most, plus 2 non transport chase trucks and one volunteer truck, and they still have 2 whole townships that are contracted to Sheridan Fire and Lizton.

Why is it that there is only trash talk about CCEMS? If people were really concerned, topix would also be filled with: why FFD doesn't respond on all medical runs; why ST Vincent Frankfort ER nurses complain as to why all ems patients are brought to them; why the city council puts up with illegal allegations from the BOW's; why the streets have so many pot holes; why do we have so many self-centered, negative people living in this county?
You would think that there would be something else to talk about than just EMS.

Gee Cory, maybe because they are only "allegations" started by people like you. Just like when you called Indianapolis to whinn about FFD burning a house down on the east side of Frankfort. If the people of Frankfort and Clinton County are so "negative" as you say then pack your bags and get yourself moving to another area. Let's see you have worn out your welcome in Hendricks County , Boone County and now Clinton County. You have 89 countys left in Indiana to choose from, surely you can find one that you can call home. Do your ems personal and the taxpayers a favor and move on, can't you see that you cause more problems then you solve?
