The trees in containers on the corner of the square look very nice. But, I'd like to know what is going to be done w/ them once xmas is over?

Are they to be planted somewhere? The lagoons, the TPA Park, etc... It would be a real shame to just throw them away. If they don't have roots, and are just in those pots to stand them up, they ought to be donated to someone that has a pond, Catfish love to swim in/around the large trees at the bottoms of ponds.

Downtown does look very nice, but someone had to pay for all those decorations, hanging baskets, etc...Let's not waste money, let's recycle the decoration after xmas!!

I look forward to a reduction of my rates when the trash pick up schedule changes and if it goes private.
I wouldn't count on it.

Tom, I agree the private sector can be more efficient but you must be losing your mind if you think it will be cheaper. I will continue to pay the same tax rate and then I will now get to pay the private contractor. Please explain how I will save money? Street department employees will be the same and nothing changes...But hey, I am listening.
Losing my mind??? Who said your rates would go down? Who said you would save money? I said my rates went down when our trash went from the public sector to the private sector. Maybe now you're listening. Hopefully.

What would be the point of privatizing trash then?
