There are many local businesses that give donations to all kinds of causes. Unfortunately, if there wasn't a letter sent out explaining the event and requesting money, many business owners might not have been aware. Perhaps you should take it upon yourself to personally volunteer to reach out to the businesses next year and try to get them involved. Don't really think this is about being greedy.

Bingo! Did they approach the local businesses? Nobody ever asked us about helping out. We have given to many causes in the past and was happy to do so.

Now if you want to talk about greedy. Why did Walmart, a multi billion dollar company only give $25? Heck, we gave more than that to similar causes and we're the little guy.

I agree! If you need the donations you need to get out there and ask for it. We can't read minds.

BTW, can you prove that these businesses are not paying their taxes. Or are you just making false accusations. I would suggest you not make these false claims in the future if you are asking for hand outs.

It is a printed sheet of court cases, bad checks, liens, and other interesting things about people ans businesses in Clinton County.

The downside of it is it doesn't have everyone listed in it who is in troble.

Some would say it's a paper that gives the shit bags of Frankfort something to gossip about.

Oh yes I can prove unaquivably without a doubt that there are a couple of busineses downtown that are not paying there taxes, but dont believe me, check it out through the courthouse or better yet, check out the scandal sheet that can be obtained through Crosby Square Collections. However, keep in mind that many of these businesses are doing business with an alias or DBA. All of this information is public knowledge, I could give you names of several people that have worked for a certain "pillar" of this community that didnt even get their social security paid. I do not make it a practice of making false accusations. There are good business people in Frankfort but there are also bad apples as well. If you are a downtown worker it shouldnt take you long to figure this out. P.S. the Wal-mart comment in my original post was meant to be sarcasem.
So now it is a couple of businesses downtown that are not paying their taxes. First it was a lot of businesses downtown but now it's just a couple.

Is it just a couple of businesses downtown that haven't paid or are there other businesses in the community not located downtown that haven't paid also?

I don't think this is just a downtown thing. Many business owners find themselves in this situation along the line at some point. Sooner or later they will have to pay the taxes owed (with penalties)or they will be shut down by the government. They in no way are going to get a pass to continue not paying.

If you were't spending so much time worried and looking for something specific, you would have read tnat the person said a lot of local businesses.
And yes, people and businesses get a pass to continue not to pay, this is America and everyone has an opportunity to do what they want, right or wrong.

Martin Devore cannot be trusted.....hummn.
Martin is not guilty of not paying his taxes.
Martin is not guilty of ripping off several past business partners.
Martin is not guilty of ripping off nearly all of their employees social security benifits.
Hummm....the time is nigh and the truth will soon be known to all and I dont think it has anything to do with Martin.
Don't you have anything better to do Martin?
