How much will the trash rate go down in your fair city since you have gone to 1 day a week pick-up?
They did that down here and ours didn't move one red cent. I hope you get a reduction or stand up for your rights.

Half the service, half the cost sounds fair.

It has been stated from the mayor that the rate will stay the same, even though trash will be picked up only once a week.

Did he say why? Does that mean that if he was given a 1/2 gallon of milk for the price of a gallon size he would not complain?

Would you rather the trash rates rise and stay at two pickups a week or the rate stay the same but only one pickup a week?

And who here uses the cities recycling service? Or do you just throw everything in the trash and let it go to the landfill?

Recycling is a waste of time and makes your home/garage/property look like a landfill. Take trash to the dump were it belongs and get rid of it. Now if you are unemployed, with no hope of getting a job, then you might need something to do with your time. Like clean out old plastic milk jugs.

Are you kidding me? Do you not realize what your recycled cans and plastic are used for? If we don't start cracking down and making people recycle our whole town will turn into a landfill. It doesn't take anytime at all to set out your cans, bottles, and plastic. That's just pure laziness not to do your part. Remember that the next time you buy a 2 liter of soda or even paper towels that they are most likely recycled. Seriously, educate yourself before you get on here and sound like a complete idiot.

Hold on there Ricky... They limited my bags to seven per week. So that will reduce their disposal costs. Also they ended up putting two trucks out on my south-east end of town because one wasn't cutting it. How do I know this tidbit??? Because I asked one of the trash guys when I got home and they were just picking up my trash, that's how.

Recycle??? YOu bet Ricky. Plastic bags to Walmart and Meijer, aluminum cans to a guy named Danny who lives on the west side. He's a little handicaped and is trying to earn his keep unlike other people who work the system. My cardboard goes to Werner and Son, my paper and recycleable plastic things go to the city.

So...
