That's right. We had a meeting the other night and it was unanimous. Every man, woman and child in MV agreed, we don't want growth.

Growth in what, population or job opportunity? Growth in job opportunity has it's many problems. For one, as long as it is growing most everybody does a little better than they did before. But what goes up must come down. When the upswing of the cycle stops and starts down the other side of the bell curve more and more start to feel the hurt. Coupled with population growth and a double whamey.

Go where there is growth and see how that goes. Property values climb at the same or higher rates. Rentals climb much faster as competition of a limited resource pushes up price. Try Springfield south side and see how your rent compares to MV. Many in the big growth cities live from paycheck to paycheck. Lose your job and with in a month you are kicked out of your rental, lost your car for lack of payment, and eating at the "mission" or "kitchen". Then tuck your tail and come on back to MV. We will look after your loser ass.

You can bet your sweet arse wally will build what ever appears profitable and not build what ain't..........

I think it would be a good idea to build ten thousand new houses in MV and give them to the new Bangladesh workers we could get to move here permanently and who could make clothes and trinkets for us directly, cut out the middle man, walmart. They would be happy to work for $1.25 per day and work much harder than anyone we could have hired around here. We could recoup our costs in no time and besides it worked well when we opened the flood gates for mexican workers.
If we needed a retail outlet we could hire these new ones to work in the stores too cause they would work harder for less, at least for the first generation or two and we could worry about the problems of overpopulation and not enough jobs for every one later.
That's why we instigate wars with much smaller countries and make it look like the other side is evil and "did us wrong". It puts every body back to work making war materials and cut down population for both sides at the same time. Makes folks like it too. Makes em feel patriotic and sing songs and be proud, at least the ones still alive.
God put these common worker class here for us smart ones to use, much like our cattle, treat fairly but use for our own benefit. It's in the Talmud.

I have yet to find a walmart employee or supervisor that has heard anything about it. Please give me the name of one who does. The employees just chuckle when I ask them. Of course, our local walmart is almost always empty of customers so I guess the new one will have to be a lot smaller and have fewer employees. I will buy the old building and make a party house out of it.

I have it on good authority that all of the MADE IN CHINA stickers are printed here in the USA! So all the whiners can just go get a job at the local printer.

Foxy Lady and I may possible open a Chinese restaurant in the old Wally building and in the back raise rats if we can get it through zoning.
