Patients with Anthem Blue Cross health insurance stopped having coverage at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics on Thursday after contract negotiations were not resolved, according to an Anthem document Palo Alto Online received yesterday.

Your statement "stopped having coverage" is incorrect. Anthem Blue Cross clients will still receive coverage for eligable expenses as an "out of network" allowable expense. Stanford is not consider "in network" at this time. I strongly believe that neither party can survive without the other on a long term basis. Both parties need to be honorable and fair and an agreement will be forthcoming.

No great loss as Stanford is inferior to UCSF and other UC medical centers.

Don't worry. ObamaCare is on the horizon. DMV "quality" health care for ALL.
