I wonder how many times we will hear the fire trucks roll the next couple of days wasting water because someone decided to ignore the burn band, and set off fireworks. With no measurable rain in the extended forecast for the next 4 weeks. Don't think we can afford to be wasting any water. Will be interesting to watch.

This drought would be over if it weren't for the evil deeds that Stone County residents have allowed to happen! We are being punished for Anglers new Private Club. When will people understand that God intended for Stone County to be dry and He will make sure it is DRY one way or another!

That has to be one of the most ignorant things I have heard. Using that kind of screwed up logic we might want to push for repeal of blue laws and dry counties and townships. Alcohol is readily available on the west coast 7 days a week and they are getting rain and milder temps. Done in moderation there is nothing wrong with having a drink. I believe there is a passage in the bible that says you are suppose to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. I also believe Paul told Timothy to drink a little wine to help with some issues he was having. It wasn't followed by a warning that said but watch out for the drought that will be coming if you do.

Maybe God is punishing us because of all the people in the area that can't control their appetites and are 50 lbs or more over weight. Its hard to say. I don't think God is the one with control issues. I believe that is left to religious leaders and the ruling class just as it was from the beginning, and those unlearned enough to buy into their rhetoric.

Got a lot of folks around here been watching the History channel to, thinking the world is ending in December because of a calender that a civilization that has been gone for 500 years made. I'm kind of thinking when they ended, their calender became null and void.

She said moderation something the Bible teaches. Excessiveness being the problem.

Most people have no idea what righteousness is especially down here. Who's definition of righteousness are you using? Baptist, Assembly of God, Apostolic, United Pentecost, Methodist? Got news for you you are not now, or ever have been righteous. At best any righteousness apportioned to you comes from God not anything you have done.

As usual Bible Thumper reads something and shoots off their mouth to display their control issues. I believe when Jesus talked about the Pharisees which displayed these same traits the KJV says he called them hypocrites. The actual translation includes pretenders.

The average church these days might as well be a country club. It is a social gathering place where little or no scripture is taught in any kind of context, but is taken out of context so someone can try and get someone else to live by or adhere to their misguided concepts.

Most people are in church to get the ear tickling feel good messages. This is only offset by the old farts collecting dust that want a preacher screaming and yelling hell fire and brimstone scaring people into heaven.

Funny I don't see Jesus carrying on like that. Just teaching and serving.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Gemini

Today's Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse, will have a big impact on your relationships during the next few months, so stand by. If the cracks have been starting to show in a partnership, this could be when they turn into major fault lines that demand action. Can they be repaired or do they spell the end of the line? It may feel like a crisis but that doesn't mean it really is one, so don't over-react.
