For everyone's information the building is not abandoned and belongs to me. The break-ins and vandalizism and thefts are about to end there. We have hired outside security to monitor the building and property surrounding it. The building is not haunted and the doors and windows are locked for security not for someone to break them down, Please stay off my property and stop vandalizing it. There is a reward for information leading to the arrest and convictions of the individuals responsible for damages. Thank You.
How much?

I have spoken with Charlie Fowler who stated that there never was a haunting that had taken place at the school. It was sold to another religious group and that was all that he knew about the situation. Charlie Fowler was in Africa in a mens religious set up and is still there as far as I know.
Who knows how these rumours get started but this one was on every "shadowlands" type paranormal site that merely copied whatever tale and posted it and from there was replicated on many sites without any proof of the allegations.
Mr Fowler was right, there is no haunting there. This rumor has cost us thousands of dollars from vandals, thefts, and mischief from local youths who break into the building. Property was stolen and pawned at the local pawn shop by a local teenager. We never recovered our property and as far as I know no arrest were ever made in the burgulary.

Interesting FYI. I would suggest you do an online search for ghosts and Arkansas and you will find that this site is listed on a bunch of generic ghost boards as being haunted. If you want to keep people out of the building then I'd suggest going to each of those sites and request that the school be removed from their list. Good luck on that.

I have never heard of the charlie fowler christian school. I would like to know a lot about it. I don't believe in hauntings any ways. Maybe it's real maybe it's not. I need some more info.
I am the owner of the Old Fowler school now, and I can assure you it is not haunted and the property is posted.

The Fowler School is listed all over the internet as a haunted house and has been listed for over 10 years on different sites. It is not new.

Guy Harris's house is definately haunted. It is the old Dobbin's White house across from Anglers. Built on Indian Burial ground, on top of cave and history of Underground Railroad.

I knew someone who rented there and said if was full of haunted.

I was a student at Charlie Fowler Christian School from 1979 and graduated from there in 1980. It was built by Bro. Fowler (I mean by his own hands)and his family and friends. It was a boarding school, It had students from all over the country (wherever Bro. Fowler ministered) that lived and studied there. The school is a three story structure, first floor was one big classroom (the front one third) the rest was kitchen, dinning room and offices. the first third of the second and third floor was the gymnasium, the rest of the second floor was the boys dorm, the rest of the third floor was the girls dorm. It was closed due to money not enough students to support it, NO SEX SCANDAL! It's not haunted,(noises) just homemade construction, the reason water leaks from the ceiling when it's dry outside is we had to put a water tank up on the side of a big hill and its gravity fed, it gets cold there, pipes bust.

Sorry to disillusion all of you but the Charlie Fowler Christian School did NOT have a sex scandal or a scandal of any kind. I worked there and knew all the students. The founder was a minister who spent most of his time in Florida. They re-located the school to Florida and closed the Arkansas location. The number of students was very small which contributed to the closing. It is also NOT a 3-story building but a 2-story. The school building is still there, but the minister's home (which was just down the road) burned down several years ago -- reportedly from mice eating through the electrical wiring. I lived in the school building for a year and stayed at the house many times. There were a lot of unexplained sounds at night in both places, but nothing so scary I would be afraid to stay there.

I think the school shut down because of funding problems. It was a christian school, and there was a lack of students for whatever reason, which meant they couldn't keep the school open. There didn't have to be a scandal. Small christian school in the middle of nowhere doesn't really need too much of a reason to cash in the chips. I knew the people who lived and ran the place, and there was no molestation taking place. How very sad that people feel the need to spread that kind of information, even if it is hearsay. If you don't have proof, then shut your mouth. I did hear that it was haunted because of the indian information, though. It was a fun yet creepy place to go into. The haunted houses there were awesome!
Exactly. I think the school was also not accredited, which caused some problems for college-bound students. There was no scandal! I was close with the family who ran the school, and they are a wonderful family! As for the haunted houses there, some of the scariest! That third floor was creepy! Lol

<quoted text>So, you knew the people did you? John Edward Gayce is one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history. He was voted Junior Chamber Commerce man of the year; he owned and ran a reputable building/contracting business; he ran a clown business, as Pogo the Clown, and was well known, and even posed for a picture with Rosalyn Carter, the former first lady of the U.S.
John Edward Gayce murdered and was convicted for 32 murders of young men, and buried most of them underneathe his house. So, you knew them, did you?
Sometimes you are clueless about those who you think you know, so who may be the idiot here? Maybe you, maybe not. Things, situations and people are not always what they appear to be.
So, put your facts where your mouth is before telling someone to shut their mouths.
I know for a fact that the family who ran the facility did nothing of the sort. What are your facts before slandering someone's good name!?

The third floor is only half of the building there are windows overlooking the gym. That is where people say they see someone looking down at them. Went to school there NEVER saw or heard anything strange. But people always hear or sees things that are not there. The mind can play tricks on us.
