Anyone in the area attending the trial? I've been reading some of the highlights from the Stone County Leader but would love to be in the courtroom listening.

This will be a sham they won't see any jail time. In time the truth will come out. In my opinion Mr. McSpadden is the mastermind behind this operation just wait and see the writing on the wall!

Bra Utan Gud, a year or so ago the police arrested Rickey and Wayne Turner for growing and allegedly distributing marijuana. It was one of the if not the largest bust in the state. Their farming equipment and everything was found there. The property on which it was growing was also owned by them.

I understand the evidence and photos are non existent. They trial is about "property" they have acquired and how is was paid for, possibly by ill gotten gains. Heard they even moved the fathers recliner into the courtroom since he is ill.

Thanks for the synopsis. If things go as usual they will get 15-20 years for their 'business operation' while someone else can kill another and get 5-10. Growing pot is a much more serious offense than 'offing' someone these days it seems.

Judge Kemp declared a mistrial because of a deadlocked jury 11-1 in favor of a guilty verdict against Ricky. They hadn't gotten around to Wayne yet. They will try them again during the next jury pool

Wonder how much thst paid that one holdout juror? This trial should been held somewhere "off" where nobody knows these good ol' boys. The state should have done some checking around before having it in Stone Co.

Yeah, wouldn't want a little thing such as being on Social Security Disability keep him from working.
