Police chief floats sales tax idea for SROs
In response to inquiries from the public about trying to keep school resource officers, Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel is sending up a trial balloon for possibly adding a 1/8-percent sales tax to the city's current 1-percent sales tax.

Anybody recall how many million the FieldTurf cost at the high school? I say let the cash-strapped school district find the money for the officers.

I think it was bid around $550K. Overall cost, not sure.
