I am so sick of the tea party led Republicans introducing bill after bill to repeal the ďAffordable Care Act.Ē

Are the Republicans in the House of Representatives that STUPID!?!?!? Really, are they that ignorant? Are they that scared of those adorned in tea bags as if Lipton was owned by Tiffanyís? Are they so ignorant of our Constitution as not to know that they stand a zero chance of getting a bill through the Senate, let alone signed by our president into law. Or do these tea baggers, who call themselves patriots, who run around with their copy of the pocket size Constitution and who obviously have failed to read it. Well here is a news flash for those morons in and out of congress,ďIt takes a 2/3 vote in both houses to override a presidential veto.

So repugs, donít like the A.C.A., what is your idea to solve the problem. Quit wasting time morons!

You are truly a disgusting person and a liberal talking about someone not reading the constitution made me realize this whole thread is a joke. Haha, good one.

Well that should be expected from tea baggers and bigots. Not an intelligent remark or idea from either of the two above, and they allow these people to vote. Let me give you baggers a challenge, offer an idea or solution.

I wonít hold my breath, Iíve asked this question dozens of times before and yet to have a bagger put together a single intelligent response, not even a single sentence.

I'll give you an intelligent solution. We don't need government controlled healthcare. People would be able to afford healthcare the way it is if they had a job, said people would have a job if A) the government would spend less money on Medicaid, sending weapons to our enemies, and corruption and more money on creating work and B) if those people wanted to work. Don't believe me? Take the actions of previous presidents Carter and Reagan for example; Carter was behind big government, government programs/regulations, etc. Economy not so peachy. Reagan, on the other hand was against large government; upon obtaining office this great president cut government funded (really tax payer funded) programs and created jobs, the economy was booming during his two terms.
Now that I've answered your question of a better solution, let's move on to the other part of your "argument". You say "they allow these people to vote", please explain; would you have a government that only allowed a select few of its citizens to vote? Would you have a government that put their hands in your every decision? I'm sorry, of course you would, you're a liberal.
And finally, we arrive to the comment of "tea baggers carrying around their pocket constitutions". Why yes they (we) do! Would you like to begin a battle of wits with me over our constitutional rights and how many different ways the Obama administration is/has/will violate them? Please, think before you engage in this challenge. Due to my carrying of said "pocket constitution" I can quote to you several sections and spout the facts to back up my theories.

Well letís take these one at a time. You say we donít need Government controlled healthcare that is not proven out by the facts. Go ahead and try to change Medicare, even tea party members oppose changing Medicare, Iíve seen polls that show anywhere from 74% to 50% of tea party members. Medicare works despite the numerous hindrances placed upon it.

As far as Reagan is concerned, he increased the deficit tremendously and in fact Reaganís deficits where 4.2% of GDP while Carterís was 2.7%(and I am no fan of Carter). It was Dick Cheney himself who said,ďDeficits donít matter, Reagan proved that.Ē Other than a few economists from the ďAustrian School of EconomicsĒ will you find few legitimate economists who advocates for a reduction of government spending during an economic downturn? Coming from a long career in business I cannot think of a single business leader who is afraid of long term capital debt to maintain and grow oneís infrastructure. Mountain Home is the perfect example of this; do you think we would have the economy here that we have if not for two government built dams? Money barrowed and spent during the forties and fifties, paid back, and still returning tremendous dividends for our community.

As far as employer based healthcare, letís not argue how unfair that is among service workers and the self employed, those with previous conditions, letís look at it from the business side. Why in the hell do we want our businesses to compete globally and turn around and put the nationís health care costs on the backs of these very businesses trying to compete globally. Thatís just stupid and if you think Iím wrong, tell me of another country doing this?

Now I am glad at anytime to argue constitutional questions, I will tell you that my politics are that I am a Civil Libertarian and a pragmatist, I hold no party allegiance but if forced I would say I was a Collin Powell Republican. With the current set of buffoons infesting the Republican Party I find myself asking Godís forgiveness for ever voting Republican.

The comment ďThey allow these people to voteĒ comes from frustration with the stupidity being demonstrated from the fringe right, the wingnuts and their gutless politicians. Like it or not, we are a country as a whole, no one gets everything their way. Hamilton and Madison proved that and set the example but the tea baggers, who claim to be such constitutional authorities seem to lack this knowledge, or if capable of grasping this available knowledge, choose to ignore it.

You've contradicted yourself and/or put words into a meaningless sentence so many times in the above post I feel I need to number them to keep them straight;

1) you say it's not proven in facts that we do not need government funded healthcare, what facts can you provide me that we do need such change? My opposing facts are that our country is broke, so broke there's no possible way to pay off this debt anymore. Obamacare is going to cost approximately $1.1 trillion dollars; more money we simply don't have. Also, I'd just like to point out that the term "government funded" is misleading, government doesn't own a dime, working American citizens provide this money for a few elected officials to throw around as they please.
2) explain to me please how Medicare "works" as you say, also please explain any "hindrances" put on it. If you think Medicare "works" so well why are you for obamacare? Obamacare will take funding from Medicare to get started then do away with the current Medicare system altogether.
3) you say "deficit doesn't matter" and that you "come from a long career in business"; I would agree it is at times necessary to borrow money to receive a greater return in the long run. However, deficit does matter, one cannot borrow more money than they can ever pay back and make it work; math doesn't lie. I don't need a "long career in business" to know that if I personally borrowed 10 million dollars for a restaurant that was going to profit $100,000 a year I would be bankrupt within months; this is precisely the situation our country is in. Reagan did not think deficit doesn't matter, in fact here's a direct quote; "when a business or a individual spends more than it makes, it goes bankrupt. When government does it, it sends YOU the bill." - Ronald Reagan
4) and this one is my favorite, your statement "Why in the hell do we want our businesses to compete globally and turn around and put the nation’s health care costs on the backs of these very businesses trying to compete globally." is simply dumbfounding. Putting the nations health care costs on the backs of these businesses trying to compete globally is the definition of obamacare. As the system is now, businesses are not required to provide healthcare for their employees if they cannot afford to do so, obamacare forces the providing of healthcare whether the money is there to back it or not.
5) to your last paragraph; you're very right about the right having some gutless politicians, for some reason they're not standing up to the liberals when it comes to these programs that never should have even made it this far; this makes them gutless indeed. You also say "like it or not, we are a country as a whole, no one gets everything their way"; this is the solid belief of the tea party and conservatives alike, we believe there's no room for "fair" and "unfair" in the affairs of our country. There's room for justice and injustice, "fair" comes to those who work their way up the ladder and don't believe in taking what isn't owed to them. You're right, we are a country as a whole so why has the Obama administration done everything it its power to divide us in every way possible? This administration has pushed the division of people based on race, social status, political views, etc. etc. etc.

You've made my point for me in several ways and contradicted yourself in doing so. Perhaps you should invest more time in proof reading and fact checking than coming up with nasty names to call the opposing party.

The Defective Parrot.

A guy is browsing in a pet shop, and sees a parrot sitting on a little perch.

It doesn't have any feet or legs.

The guy says aloud,'Jeesh, I wonder what happened to this parrot.?'

The parrot says,'I was born this way.

I'm a defective parrot.'

'Holy crap,' the guy replies.

'You actually
understood and answered me.!'

'I got every word,' says the parrot.

'I happen to be a highly intelligent, and a thoroughly educated bird'

'Oh yeah?' the guy asks.

'Then answer this, how do you hang onto your perch, without
any feet.?'

'Well,' the parrot says,'this is very embarrassing, but since you asked, I wrap my weenie around this wooden bar, like a little hook.

You can't see it, because of my feathers.'

'Wow,' says the guy.

'You really can understand, and can speak English, can't you.?'

'Actually, I speak both Spanish and English, and I can converse with reasonable competence on almost any topic, politics, religion, sports, physics, philosophy.

I'm especially good at ornithology.

You really ought to buy me, I'd be a great companion.'

The guy looks at the $200.00 price tag.

'Sorry, but I just can't
afford
that.'

'Pssssssst,' says the parrot,'I'm defective, so the truth is, nobody wants me, cause I don't have any feet.

You can probably get me for $20, just make the guy an offer.!'

The guy offers $20, and walks out with the parrot.

Weeks go by.

The parrot is sensational.

He has a great sense of humor, he's interesting, he's a great pal, he understands everything, he sympathizes, and he's insightful.

The guy is delighted.

One day
the guy comes home from work, and the parrot goes,'Psssssssssssst,' and motions him over with one wing.

'I don't know if I should tell you this or not, but it's about your wife, and the UPS man.'

'What are you talking about,?' asks the guy.

'When the UPS man
delivered a package today, your wife greeted him at the door, in a sheer black nightie.'

'WHAT???' the guy asks incredulously.

'THEN what happened?'

'Well, then the UPS man came into the house, and lifted up her nightie, and began petting her all over,' reported the parrot.

'NO!' he exclaims,'and she let
him.?'

'Yes.

Then he continued taking off the nightie, got down on his knees, and began to kiss her all over.'

Then the frantic guy demands,'THEN WHAT HAPPENED.?'

DUNNO?!? I got a hard-on, and fell off my perch.!'

If this doesn't make you laugh, you're having a really bad
day.

Thanks, let me respond:

Your paragraph one; We do need government funded healthcare unless you want seniors to go without health care, or those with physical or mental disabilities, or poor children. Do you honestly believe seniors encountering health problems that are common to the aging process and expected them to purchase private insurance? I can tell you that a private insurance company would laugh at me if I approached them looking for insurance. As far as costs, do you think you and I are not paying for the uninsured now? You know better than that. Government money is our money as we are the government; did you miss that in your pocket constitution? And again, that is all of us as a whole. Government needs to spend our money when situations or needs are so enormous or complex that only the government can solve it.

Your point 2; Medicare hindrances; hereís a couple, they are forced to cover those who use medical services the most, the elderly and disabled. Medicare is unable to benefit from a large insurance pool where the majority is healthy. The government has placed other barriers such as keeping Medicare from negotiating with drug companies for lower drug costs.

Your point 3, I didnít say deficits donít matter, Dick Cheney did, your main neo-con. You know Bushís Vice President. Deficits do matter, but you have to keep the entire economy in mind or do you advise cutting off your foot to cure an ingrown toenail. Talk about deficits, unless healthcare is fixed our deficits are going to skyrocket, again, where id the tea partyís solution?

Your point 4, Iím glad you seem to agree that placing the nationís healthcare costs on the backs of businesses is stupid. President Obama blew it! You are correct Obama Care does not address the root cause of our healthcare dilemma, employer based healthcare. Again, can you name another country with such a moronic system? He should have scrapped our current system and started fresh. Obama care is flawed as it is based on our current flawed system, but at least it is a start. And that leads me to my original premise. Unless totally stupid the Republicans have to know they stand a zero percent chance of repealing ObamacareÖunless they have an alternative solution, where is it.

When a soldier is killed in the line of duty, his family eventually gets a flag and a note conveying sympathy and respect and from the United States Government.

When a pro basketball player announces he is gay, he immediately gets a personal phone call from the President congratulating him for his courage.

Am I missing something?

To have Hillary as president will be Obama all over again.

I have been too many veteranís funerals, way too many in my immediate and extended family and I have never been too one of these funerals were a flag wasnít presented to the family by a military honor guard. Not one! So I have no idea what you are talking about.

I do however distinctly remember our severely wounded soldiers returning home for treatment in facilities such as Walter Reed and having to live in filth, eat slop for food and suffer from inadequate medical staff, and this all happened under Bush and the current Republicans watch, the same Republicans still roaming the streets of Washington DC. How did you put it,ĒPOSís?Ē Yea Iíd say thatís a pretty good way to describe the scum who started these wars only to neglect them, and under man them, and under equip them, Bush, Cheney and their band of merry men, the Republicans, that is how they felt about our troops

While weíre talking about POSís, I remember two years ago when the same scum bag Republicans and tea baggers threatened to hold the pay of our soldiers stationed all over the world without a secondís hesitation, adding to the stress and unneeded worry already placedon our troops in harmís way as if they needed additional stress. This vermin, the tea baggers and Republicans, did this very reprehensible thing to gain political advantage over the President of the United States to force him to default on this countryís obligations and this countryís credit rating still suffers from the ding bats stupidity.

Yea POSís Iíd say fit the Republicans and tea baggers real well.
