All of them are ok but I settled with Slone. They seem to have more personality.

All Creatures. Great vets and they really seem to care about my pets.

I used Slones for years and loved that man! He was always so good with our animals. It is now called the Vet Clinic and Sarah Smith runs it. I took our dog in for a small lump on her side in July, she laughed at me and told me it was a floating rib. Went back in September because it was now the size ofa softball, she told me she must have injured herself, finally about 3 weeks later and taking her back in she done an X-ray. Slone came in a looked at it and immediately he said it was cancer. I took her to All Creatures for a second opinion and they did a biopsy the next day. Sure enough it was cancer. Had to put my baby down on Oct. 5. If it would have been looked at properly in the beginning, it more than likely could have been removed, but unfortunately it wasn't. I will NEVER take another animal to her. The Dr.s at All Creature are very good and were so compassionate with us, they will see all of our pets now.

I too liked Dr. Slone and just recently spoke with Dr. Sarah and she was so incredibly rude to me on the phone. I was discussing my cat and some problems she was having and I wanted to know some other things, but she put me on hold and told someone from billing to talk to me. I will not ever take my animals there after she acted so rudely to me. I will have to switch to All Creatures too!

I disagree. Dr. Smith at The Vet Clinic is awesome! She is the nicest and most caring vet I have every been to see! WE LOVE HER! She always takes the time to sit and talk with us and explains everything.

This area is a mixing bowl of Yankees and southerners. Don't expect any two people to agree. Pick your own vet. Too much is lost in translation here.

I've always used Dr. Slone and loved him. Now that the new vet has taken over his clinic won't be going back. She came in and changed everything. We could take in our dogs and pay a down payment on the bill, then make payments every month. You know it is very expensive to take your animals in for anything other than annual exams. There was many times I had a $300-$400 bill. It was so nice knowing that I could get my pets taken care of and pay the bill when I got the money. With the new vet there will be none of that. She doesn't care about the animals, just the money. Sad, Sad!

We have used most of the vets in the Mountain Home area for the last 35 years.. We have used All Creatures for our pets & livestock for the last 15 years.. They will make farm calls at all hours. They are very good with the animals & I've never had a bad experience with the vets there..

I agree with the majority of post here as far as not taking your pets to Dr. Sara Smith at the Vet Clinic Inc. She is rude and inexperienced and lacks compassion. There are many vets in this town and surrounding areas, try a few different ones until you find the one you trust.

Samehere, So you didn't want to pay a down payment and make payments every month for vet care? It sounds like you're probably a customer that most vets wouldn't want. I'm sure they're saddled with tons of unpaid bills from people who don't like that system. Get real...they have to care about the money or they'll go out of business. It sounds like maybe you don't need pets so you can avoid sticking it to the vets until you "got the money". Horse crap.

Whatadipstick, Looks like you need to pay attention to what you are reading before you make comments. I said "I COULD make a down payment and monthly payments! Then when I got the money pay off the bill. I don't expect any vet to offer a free ride. They are a business after all. You can keep your horse crap.

I like snodgrass, have a lab that got parvovirus, would have died if it wasn't for him. He's old school and gives it to you straight.

Samehere, your complaint was so poorly written that I must have misunderstood. Did it ever occur to you how many people NEVER make a payment, regardless of a promise to pay? If you're so good about paying your bills, why don't you put it on a credit card so some small business doesn't have to tote your note for months. Do you think those businesses usually have loans to pay themselves with the interest that goes with it? I'm sure Slone retired with a ton of write-offs from customers who never paid their bills.

The American way, put it on a credit card, sure that Whatadipshit is drowning in credit card debt on his 12 cards he has because he cant pay cash because of his 190 credit score because he puts everything on plastic at a low 29,9 %

Same here on Dr. Snodgrass, he's old school for sure, he might seem a little gruff, but if you pay attention, there is a twinkle in his eyes. In inherited a stray with mange. The dog had it bad, Doc suggested the dog be put down. But he said if I will work with the dog, and give him care, he would help me cure him. He knew didn't have a lot of money and I didn't have the heart to put him down. Doc saw the dog four times in six mos., gave the dog shots and pills and charged me 80 bucks if I promised to let him neuter the dog on the last visit. He said if the dog mated, it's pups would be prone to the same fate. The guy did me great!

James Hetfield, at least it would be your debt instead of a business owner's problem.

Doc Snod is awesome....He obviously has I great love for his patients and their owners. It will be a very sad day when he can no longer do what he does best. He does come off grumpy but anybody that knows him knows that's just his special personality. I've seen the man cry with his fur parents on more than one occasion. I love this man as a vet and as a friend.

I don't know, we only recently moved to mtn home and have not needed to pick a vet yet. But from the post here and from what I have heard around town I will DEFINATELY NOT be taking my animals to the Vet Clinic Inc or Sara Smith.
The fact that she is such a hot topic on here alone makes me suspicious. That is usually not a good sign. And it seems clear to me that the folks who have posted negative reviews have dealt with Dr. Smith as a customer, while those backing her sound like friends or something. Ill go with the customer reviews myself and keep my animals away from Dr. Smith. Money is no object, but quality healthcare for my pets is.
