Concerned citizen.....I am someone who had to rely on the police there to do their job and by the way....Lt. Barnes did a wonderful job. You've ADMITTED you lost the keys, damaged his property and owe him money. Do the right thing and pay him for the damage, you caused.

As a landlord, dealing with people like yourself makes it more difficult for honest, responsible, people to find places to rent.

Concerned Citizen,
First of all, it seems to me you were quite lucky to have found a landlord that would work around your pay as far as rent. I have never known of a landlord that would let you pay "when you could as long as you texted." That is going way above and beyond. I am betting the electric company, phone company, cable company, etc. did not make the same deal. It seems that your arrangement went fine until some domestic issues became your landlord's issues when payments weren't made and/or you jerked him around on making the payments while you figured out what you and your wife were going to do - stick it out or split up.
Second, his contact is justified. Any creditor you don't pay will use whatever contact numbers you have given to continually attempt to resolve the debt. It seems that bc he is a police officer, you don't believe he should have been able to do so. Do I think he harassed you based on what you have posted? No. I think he was like anyone else who was owed a debt and wanted to get it taken care of WITHOUT using his "legal authority" or taking it to court.
Finally, you admitted you lost the keys. YOU LOST THE KEYS. You have alluded to the fact that yes, you also damaged the door. If you owe rent, pay it. If you damaged the door, replace it. If you lost the keys, have the locks changed and give him the new keys.
It really seems to be a simple matter of acting like a responsible adult in your real life instead of a whiney deadbeat in the virtual world. Perhaps there is more to the story, but from what has been posted so far, you just seem to be a typical "poor, poor picked on me, please attend my pity party" loser.

First of all for all u back woods no teeth hillbillies it's just some damn keys!!!! You are missing the whole point of it all. The point is if he is such a fine and upstanding officer then why doesn't he obied by the same laws as everyone else. You call yourself a officer of the law and not follow the same laws you enforce citizens to follow and show your family how to screw over the system too. The only thing you idiots are even concerned with is this guys personal problems with his wife and bills. To me it's everyone else that needs to grow up. Atleast he is fighting for his rights. While you cowards set back and let these crooked cops make their own rules and do what they want.

I only really had one dealing with him. And I never wanted another one. He was very rude and his remarks were very uncalled for. He had not one ounce of professionalism in him that night just a little over 10 years ago. And just to let u all know I was the victims mom...not a suspect

And this statement is not to be taken as being disrespectful to Lt.Barnes. that is not how it should be taken.

I've had contact with him since 2006, when my half brother murdered Dr. Millstein and Nevin has always been professional and good to me. He always returned my calls and I always felt that he cared.

I pissed him off once and he let me know about it. I will admit, I deserved that butt chewing. Months later I called him back, hoping he would accept my apology and keep me updated on the case against my half brother, and he did.

I have a lot of respect for Lt. Nevin Barnes and can never thank him enough for his hard work and dedication to bring justice for Dr. Millstein. He poured his heart and soul into that case and my half brother is now in prison. The only regret I have concerning Nevin, is that he doesn't work for Little Rock PD, because I know if he did....I would also receive justice for my own father.

Nevin, if your reading this, like you told me.....ignore those who speak bad of you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you did for me and Dr. Millstein's son's. Your a damn good investigator and if you ever get bored.....the murder of Jerry Parks is still unsolved.

It would appear to me that Mr. Freeman is in the wrong for the damages he caused, but Mr. Barnes as well for the excessive attempts to claim his debt. I sentence you both to have lunch together and ENJOY IT!! Get along.#yolo

Really, window tint laws are a little ridiculous, but there laws nevertheless. I also hate to point out such a small infraction, but it is a symbol of Mr. Barnes respect of the laws he enforces. It is just a small sign of a large problem.

Fsck your disgruntled renters whine and illegitimate complaint on a public forum. Let an unqualified, uneducated, inexperienced "lead detective" employed by the criminal investigation department of MHPD take your life into his hands and without so much as a tinge of concern for truth, you, your family's well being, your reputation as a business owner and provider to more than just your immediate family, your livelihood, take everything you have worked and sacrificed for and make sure you are persecuted publicly, charged and convicted of crimes he fabricated and manufactured evidence and reports to secure a conviction, bankrupt you in business loss as a result of this as well as multi million dollars in legal fees. The former officer Mike Day is a criminal. He is a liar. A thief. A rapist. A sick, sad individual. Your bullshit is irrelevant.

Yep the comment in that video "wasting our time" is the same comment he made when my daughter was raped at 14. And we were told that in Arkansas she was of legal age. She couldn't tell him where it happened (only lived in mountain home for a Week and 3 days) therefore he called her a liar...PROFESSIONAL....I THINK NOT!!!!!!!

If you took the log out of your eye first you would not be looking for a speck in your brothers eye. Another words you should pay your rent fix your mistakes and pay for the damage of your mistakes before you speak against a brother.

Sometimes in my job I have to say things that I don't agree with. Not making excuses if I hurt your feelings, I am sorry. Even if I had a bad day, no excuse. Sometimes I see things that I don't like and leave a life time scar. Every life is important but children death investigations are etched in my brain like a laser. Still no excuse. Sometimes in a criminal case one may believe the victim but the case is weak. We have victims that don't remember anything and it is a huge hurdle to over come. The benefit of doubt is on the defendant, as it should be. It's not a theft, with a 15 days in jail it could be a sexual abuse case with 30 years in prison. Naturally, with a jury the burden is extremely high. As it should be. During an interview and interrogation sometimes I may say certain words to illicit a certain response and judge that response. I was told years ago by an older supervisor that you never apologize for doing your job. So, if I was mean and ugly....and sometimes I had to be or I would get steam rolled and to the others...forgive me my friends....
