I did not post my first thread with thoughts of getting a bunch of support, and that definately has not happened. :) I posted this thread to let get public opinion on whether or not the things Mr. Barnes texted me could be seen as threats by an unbias group. Yes, I failed to consider the fact that I would be biased when posting. I should have taken into consideration other forums I have read on here, and the posts in them before picking this group. I am probably still posting here this morning, and not in jail, because I have not posted a single thing that is not true. I have quoted his texts messages, and have record of them all. I dont have to get on this thread and lie about a thing. I havent broken a law. If I had, I am sure I would have been locked up by now.

Let's be honest. He didn't pick on any children, just stated that a police officer and his family should follow the law. I agree with that.

Concerned Citizen - do us landlords a favor. Post your name so we can watch for it on rental applications. I am sure there are a number of us out here that would just love to rent to a fine upstanding person like yourself. One that pays his rent late and damages the house while living in it. NOT!

My name is Kenneth Freeman, and I would appreciate your name as well. I really don't need it because I can tell a slumlord when I see them. I also wouldn't want to rent anything from someone that supports abuse of power from govt officials. If it were possible I would kindly ask you to trade your citizenship for that of a immigrant seeking refuge from a communist country. They would surely appreciate the principles that our country was founded upon more than you do. I believe in the freedom to live unmolested by individuals in which you choose not to socialize with. I also believe in liberty and justice for all, which is part of of our pledge. If you're not on board with that Obama should buy your plane ticket, but he'd rather appoint you to a government office. The truth is that our government is sketchy all the way around. The best start in making a difference is the small things such as local government running willy nilly through the streets playing bad ass while middle class citizens live subjected to inequality.

So you know this is a cop shop site and they are lingering and seething over every word you type. They monitor it, look for people threw it and you should have stated your complaint threw the proper lines. Not on this site---dude, this is going to be a problem, I know it, I am just watching to see what's next and I have my popcorn ready-this is a small town, sometimes to small. :/

Yup, I know exactly what this is. I knew Mr. Barnes would catch wind fast and reply, as he did. I knew that some would mindlessly attack me just for knowing Mr. Barnes, because that's how people are sometimes. People naturally seek the approval of others they know, especially if they feel inferior to that person. I do not feel inferior, and Mr. Barnes is not a person that I feel the need to have to approval of. I have filed two seperate reports with BCSO in regards to this, and have spoke with supervising officers at the CID office who refused to act on clear evidence of harassment. Prosecuting attorney Mr. Chism decided that, because he didn't threaten me with bodily harm, that they would do nothing at all. I hope every officer, including Mr. Manuel, read this and steam! I hope that any government official that reads this thread and becomes offended have a bad taste fill their mouth and consume them. I wish for that taste to be that of dog crap. I imagine that this was an amazing country at one point in time, but it has not been since I have been an adult. It is this complete lack of attention to the acts of government officials that have led us to be a society that automatically believes the human officer to be completely honest. It is also this lack of attention that leads us to make decisions based on regulated media and not pay attention to fine details before we sign our lives away. We all need to wake up and see that government officials, including Mr. Barnes, are human and are subject to lie, cheat, steal, and threaten! Look up the video of the Arkansas State Police officer that let the ASU football player walk with marijuana and a pistol, only giving him a speeding ticket. Think about how many other citizens he pulled over! These are people just like us, and should be held accountable to the same or a higher standard. Why should we hold them to a higher standard, you ask? We should hold them to a higher standard because we intrust them to protect us in time of need. I think that when one of our paid protectors deceive their community, that it should be taken more seriously than normal.

Concerned Citizen,
First of all, it seems to me you were quite lucky to have found a landlord that would work around your pay as far as rent. I have never known of a landlord that would let you pay "when you could as long as you texted." That is going way above and beyond. I am betting the electric company, phone company, cable company, etc. did not make the same deal. It seems that your arrangement went fine until some domestic issues became your landlord's issues when payments weren't made and/or you jerked him around on making the payments while you figured out what you and your wife were going to do - stick it out or split up.
Second, his contact is justified. Any creditor you don't pay will use whatever contact numbers you have given to continually attempt to resolve the debt. It seems that bc he is a police officer, you don't believe he should have been able to do so. Do I think he harassed you based on what you have posted? No. I think he was like anyone else who was owed a debt and wanted to get it taken care of WITHOUT using his "legal authority" or taking it to court.
Finally, you admitted you lost the keys. YOU LOST THE KEYS. You have alluded to the fact that yes, you also damaged the door. If you owe rent, pay it. If you damaged the door, replace it. If you lost the keys, have the locks changed and give him the new keys.
It really seems to be a simple matter of acting like a responsible adult in your real life instead of a whiney deadbeat in the virtual world. Perhaps there is more to the story, but from what has been posted so far, you just seem to be a typical "poor, poor picked on me, please attend my pity party" loser.

Thanks, man.

You made me shoot bourbon outta my nose.

Yes, there are a lot of cops reading this, as I am one, and I'm sure others are getting as much of a kick out of it as me.

I feel sorry for Nevin, though. Renting to a mental always is a losing deal.

Concerned citizen, I will excercise my constitutional rights also. I think you are a leech that contributes to the problems in this country. Take responsibility for your actions, pay your bill, don't damage anyone's property, and stop being an idiot. Why don't you do something for the hungry, homeless, abused children, etc. and less time wasting our time with your rubbish. But, from the sound of things and my guess of the type of person your are, it won't happen. Go fly a kite.

BAK, I respect your opinion, but you are wrong. I am not a leech in any way. I pay my debts, and Mr. Barnes didn't shelter me a day that was not paid for. I receive no government assistance at all, and have never drawn a day of unemployment. I pay 430 a month in child support and still pay all of my bills. I own two vehicles outright that are just now ten years old. I don't have the help from any family members and know very few people here. I may not be an established CEO, or hold a government office, but I provide for myself and my family. I work every week like everyone else, and have excellent attendance at my job. You have also judged me too soon when it comes to contributing to my community. I am a volunteer public servant, and I spend plenty of hours in classes, training, and studying to assist members of our community when in serious need. I love helping those in need, and it makes me feel great. If you asked anyone that knows me, they would tell you that it kills me to pass someone with a flat and not stop. It's easy for any of you to judge me, especially without ever meeting me, and I forgive all of you for judging me even if your not sorry. I care about everyone the same that has not intentionally offended me, and that's all of you. This is why I believe so strongly in equal rights and justice for everyone. You guys don't have to believe the same as me, but believed damage to a door does not justify harrassment or individual hostility. This is especially true when to person agrees to pay their debts soon. Everyone wants what they want when they want it, but unlike some people that can just pull money out of their rear when they need it, I live week to week and can't just shell out hundreds of dollars at a moments notice. That doesn't mean that I don't feel responsible for paying my debts, it just means that I cant pay it in full at this time. A lot of you don't care because your creditors are not calling you every day, texting you inappropriate comments. Some of you are like ravaging dogs on here, just waiting for any piece of meat to devour. Maybe some of you should examine your values before making ten minute judgement calls on the character of an individual that you don't know at all. You'd think this was the set of Jerry Springer or something. Thanks for the recommendation BACK, maybe the weather will improve and I can do that. Flying a kite may even make me feel better about other detestable parts of this community.

I would just like to point out that you invited judgment when you started this thread. You asked for opinions. You did not receive opinions in your favor and now you want to lick your wounds. I only called on what I see and "judged" from what you posted - which is what you asked for: public opinion. Many people live week to week. Many people struggle. You cannot justify your behavior in damaging the door - which obviously added to debt you are having trouble paying. Nor can you justify trying to run from the problem and telling Mr. Barnes to quit "harassing" you. I personally think you made some mistakes and didn't handle the situation properly to begin with. Then, by trying to "ignore" it by refusing to respond to Mr. Barnes' texts and phone calls, you made it worse. I am only going by what you have posted thus far - not from posts of others.

Wow, some people take comments that do not concern them very seriously at times. You must be someone that hasn't had to rely on the police dept here to do their job, lol. If you were, your oppinion may be different. At any rate, there's no reason to curse. I apologize if my beliefs offend you, but with all due respect, maybe you should divert your attention away from this thread if it brings you to anger. Better yet, you could just try communicating your feelings in a more appropriate manner, or not recommend that others run from problems in their life instead of facing them. I respect that it may be your method of coping or dealing with stress, but fleeing from opression isn't for everyone. Mostly an action of the feeble or weak hearted, it is not a concept that I use or believe in. What's right is right, and what is wrong is wrong. Your location within this country is irrelevant, and draws even more attention to the fact that something HERE needs to be changed.
