everyone should know

i think we should all get a list going of the perverts in this town. just to let everyone be aware of who is in thier surroundings. this isn't for people to post names of people that they are mad at or what ever. you've got to have some court records or proof to back up the names you list.
i just think there are alot more of these people out there that noone is aware of and should be aware of. it would be alot easier if they would mark them perminatly with like a big "X" on thier forehead or something....
anyways, lets list these people and let them know they're not hiding anything from the citizens of mtn.grove

There are several public lists already on the web where you can go and see if there is a registered sex offender in your town. Now to post something on Topix???? Are you freaking nuts? Do you realize the wierdos and kids that are going to have a field day with this. As if this sight is not having enough trouble with people bashing, name calling, slander, liabel, defamation etc. And to mark them with an "X". I certainly hope you are kidding with that off the wall ridiculous insane comment. I hope to God that you never do anything wrong in your that we can permanently mark you up with some sort of letter. Your ignorance and stupidity makes me laugh! Get a life, that is not possible or effective and totally inappropriate!

In response to "inappropriate"
When you have a child that has been molested or touched inappropriately by a "pervert" then you can call someone ignorant or stupid for voicing their opinion! When you have watched the damage that an "inappropriate" touch or worse can do to a child., something that stays with them for their "entire" life then maybe you will understand why there are parents that would greatly appreciate an " X " on the offenders forehead! That would be ALOT more humane than what I would do to the person that hurt my child had I ever had the chance to get a hold of him! And yeah, I've done things in my life I'm not proud of...but molesting innocent children WAS NEVER ONE OF THEM! And for you to call "everyone should know" - "freaking nuts" or ignorant & stupid...makes me wonder if you aren't one of those "perverts"!

My choice would be NOT to put an X on their forehead, but maybe a BULLETT between their eyes!!!None of us have gone without doing wrong at some point in our life, but molesting a child..thats the worst thing a person can do as far as Im concerned.God be with me and give me lots of strength if it ever happens to any child in my family because Im not so sure I could sit back and let the law do their job without my interfeerence.Id probably be the one to end up behind bars, but what parent or grandparent wouldnt feel this way????

Inappropriate, you really need help. If you think they should be protected--you are one sick freak. I think child molestors should be tortured, not just sent to prison. That is right-tortured. Toenails pulled out, scalded, beaten, slowly burned all over their body. I think you should be allowed to be tortured in prison. Maybe turn all you baby rapists over to the serial killers. So you sick freak, I think you are the one nuts who believes they should have any rights. I hate you so much just for that comment. Why do I hate you? Only a child molestor could say something like that.

I for one check the web sites for convicted molesters, and that is helpful to some that pay attention to these sort of sites. But believe you me, if my grandchildren are ever hurt in any way, I would not blink twice to spend the rest of my life behind bars to take care of the SOB that harmed them. Of course I would have to race to beat the rest of my family to the punch! If more folks would react this way maybe we could deter some individuals from this behavior. I for one do not believe it is a sickness. That gives them an excuse. It is just pure evilness. Satan is certainly at work in this world.

To innapropriate:

I was abused as a child by 2 family members from the approx.age of 4 to 8. Let me tell you my story. When I said something about it to family I was the one in trouble! i.e. where did you HEAR this? Who TOLD you this. It's not nice to say things like that. Do you want a spanking? I'm almost 50 years old now and remember it all like it was yesterday.I still see the family members who done this to me at family gatherings and out of respect for my grandmother who never knew about this I am civil around them. I would like to castrate them with a dull knife very slowly. I don't think a day that goes by that I don't think about what happened and where was my support and protectors. Not every molester is punished and registered.I watched my kids like a hawk and talked to them all the time when they were young and when they were old enough I told them some of my story, but only after they watched oprah talking about her experience on tv( my kids were young teens at this time). I now have grandkids who are my life and theres NO doubt I'd kill someone who sexually abused them. I have a wonderful husband who has listened to me and helped me through this and enabled me to go forward with my life. I am a professional in the work force and have tried to put this behind me. But the websites are only good for the ones caught.Never trust anyone completely with your young family.P.S. I'm neither stupid nor am I ignorant, I am a survivor of sex abuse!

i agree w/the point that survivor made....not all abusers are brought up on charges....sometimes the person abused can't bare the thought of having to relive the abuse, so they choose not to go to the police. how would anyone ever know about them if we don't tell our stories.
i said mark them w/an "X" as a polite way of doing things b/c trust me, if you've ever been abused, you can think of wayyyyy worse things you'd do to them. why should they get to hide from what they did to a child, an adult, anyone? the person abused doesn't get to hide from what they went thru...they have to relive it everyday, and if you think you someday just forget that it ever happened, you are dead wrong. that is something that stays w/you and you have to deal w/daily. it scars you for the rest of your life. why should you be the only one scared when you had no control over the situation? that is why i think they ought to be marked, then they have to relive the evil they did every day of thier life also.
so if you think i'm an idiot or sick or what ever you think b/c of my feelings, walk a day in my shoes or any other person who has been thru this for one day....shoot one hour and then see if you don't change your thoughts.....

I am a survivor of child molestation. It went on for 4 years by two family members. When it first came out....It was hell. Probably as much hell as the molestation it's self, Then I had to endure the "we cant tell anybody" for years...due to the family did'nt want my grandmother to know. I had to interact with these monsters on a regular basis...while it was all swept under the rug. UNTIL my grandmother passed away and I was a young adult with 2 children. Then I ran my mouth...I told anyone who would listen. Family was pissed...some were understanding. But the day that I stood up for myself and informed people so that no other child would go through what I went through....the nightmares came to an end as well. So my opinion... SING IT FROM THE ROOF TOP! If you know a child molester...tell anyone who will listen. If I saved one child from enduring what I went through...it was all worth it.

good for you, i'm glad that you were able to overcome this horible memory from your childhood. no child or adult for that matter should ever have to go thru something like this. and if everyone out there tells thier story,#1 it helps them to relieve some of what they've bottled up,#2 it makes everyone aware of the type of person the abuser is #3 it could prevent it from happening to someone else. i think it is very good that there are people out there who share my thoughts and feelings on this topic. makes for a good way to vent things....so thanks to all who have shown thier support and story....you are very brave individuals and may God bless you and your family

your mentality is the reason people get away with this for so long. Lets not keep this on the down low. I see your point but topic Is designed for this reason for citizens to communicate with one another. I like the idea of making this a topic because its a much bigger problem than people like to think. I for one am not opposed to exposing these people. If it were up to me they would be in concentration camps being used as medical experiments for the better good.

http://www.city-data.com/soz/soz-65711.html not all people listed are still registered the degree of seriousness varies from case to case. This is for informational purposes only, being listed does not mean these offenders are active and each have gone through the justice system. Again this is for informational purposes only.

Child molesters need to have their houses burned down, then run out of town, end of story.

I wish someone would have listened to me. When I was 16 (30yrs ago) I was raped by someone I knew, at knife point. After it happened, I went to the police. They basiclly told me that I was asking for it because of the way I dressed. The style then was cutoffs and tube tops. I wasn't sure what to do next. Maybe it was my own fault???? Now, I know that's not true but I was only 16. I never told anyone else about it until I was an adult. I do believe that a lot of the issues that I have to deal with today are a result from that. I really hope that boy went to prison and ended up being butt raped every single day of his life! I know that's not real Christian of me but it's hard to forgive someone who takes something so personal from you.

I know of a preacher who is a convicted molester.

He did his daughter. He whines that "molesters are the only people who are persecuted their whole life for the act. No other type of crime is treated with that way...once they do the time, it doesn't follow them..."

What he fails to realize is that his daughter must look at him every day and relive the hell he put her through. Believe me -- she's messed up!

Now why a church would allow a convicted perv be a preacher is beyond me!
