An Act Of Kindness

It is almost Christmas time. It is time to give, rather than recieve. The other day going through a drive-thru I paid for the vehicle behind me. Seeing his face put a smile on mine, it really made my day. I'm not telling this story to get a pat on the back, I'm telling it so maybe one of you could do this for someone. You never know how bad of a week or day that person is going through or just getting a cheap lunch because that is all they can afford. Remember the sacrifice Jesus gave to us, we could all at least give someone a hope that there is still good people out there. Be a blessing to someone. May all you have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!

Pay it forward. I find this little thread inspirational. Think when I fill the time is right I may do something of likeness. Instead of a pat on the back how about a thank you:)

I wish more people could pay it forward just as you have...good for you! Too many people nowadays only do a kind act for others if they're going to receive recognition for what they have done. Most won't anonymously do a kind act for another especially, with social websites such as Facebook for all to brag...it just seems to take away from the good deed one has done for another with constant bragging through statuses and photos.

It WAS nice what she did, BUT she did exactly what you said--she ran straight here to brag about it.-I know she claims she didn't--but her actions speak way louder than her words--she jumped right on here to brag.

Poor place is a poor excuse for a person. No one was bragging, just bringing to light what we could all do to spread a little joy in the world. What is so screwed up in your life that you need to put others down???

The difference is "anonymous" told their story anonymously purely to encourage others to do an act of kindness as well. "Anonymous" can't really take recognition for their act of kindness if nobody knows who to recognize for the act. So no, I completely disagree with you...."anonymous" did not tell their story with the intention to brag.

I don't see where anyone was bragging at all! It was a kind deed that was noted for others to reach out and do the same. There is too much slander and meanness in this world and to read about something good once in awhile makes it acceptable to read to me. I never read anywhere in the post where it said this person was a she either unless I missed something. I'm glad there are people out there who still do kind deeds and if they post it what harm is there to it? Seems like "poor place" is a good name for you since you posted a poor excuse of a post.
