Their gas company filed bankruptcy on them and closed their doors so now they have to find a new fuel provider.

Im 99% sure if their supplier went bankrupt it was because LAZY LEES didnt pay their bill. If they did pay their bills a fuel provider would have found THEM by now. Every company wants new customers. If they will pay for their services.

you might be in debt but I highly doubt its in the millions on fuel. I can't see any company extendind that much credit on fuel.

Lazy lees is famous with all vendors for not paying their bills! This is nothing new, ask the chip, bread, soda and beer company's! They have screwed everyone of their suppliers at some point. The next thing to go is payroll, if i were an employee I'd be worried. There are to many people feeding off that company for it to stay afloat! This has been a long time coming. I'm surprised they still own them at all!

Don't quite your job! If you do you will not be eligible for any unemployment benefits. Ride it out,if you are fired, laid off, aka they go tits up, you will be elegible. And yes I know it is easy for me to say. Good luck.

You might want to state which location you are talking about? The Lazy Lees in Hartville does not have fuel right now, but the location is independently owned, so that makes me think the problem is a result of the fuel supplier.

They own Hartville, Seymour, Lebanon, Mountain Grove, Fordland and possibly a few others. It sounds more like they are closing the doors. They are all out of fuel, and the stores are bare.

Really?!! I'm all for people getting unemployment if their getting fired or laid off is a surprise. But from what I can tell, these employees see it coming. They should be putting applications in wherever they can. If nothing else, I'm sure fast food chains are hiring. Unemployment should be the last resort for them. Too many people take advantage.

Unemployment is not a handout, it is paid for by the employer. Who says the employees are not putting in applications? In the economy today, jobs are hard to come by. If they can get a new job, great, but if they are fired, and can't get a job, there is no shame in drawing unemployment. Collecting what one has worked for is not taking advantage.

Unemployment insurance is just that, insurance paid by the employer by law. Every time you go to your doctor and pay your co-pay rather than the entire bill, when you have a fender bender, or the roof is blown off from your home, do you believe filing a claim is taking advantage?
