I think back at how simple life was back then,or to me it was and I realized it's hard now cause I'm the grown up and now it is my turn to carry all the weight on my sholders like my parents did so well, and for that I want to say to all the parents before us today "THANK YOU" you made our childhood memories what they are today,GOOD ONES...

I remember picking beans in the field where Hanesbrand is now located. I picked all day, didn't make much money because I would spend it all of RC and Moon pies before I got home. I remember going to the Bean Market and throwing beans at the boys. I remember the Bean Festival and the parade down Main Street. I remember the ice cream at the drug store and Saturday night in Mountain City. I remember the skating rank.....what fun we had. I remember the Taylor Theater. I remember the crooked road up the gorge. I remember the Bus Station and riding the bus to town. All Good Memories.

Gracious, just leave a note at the courthouse for Judge Wm. B. Hawkins and ask if he would share the secret family recipe for that special chili. He might fall out of his chair laughing because it probably was Hormel.
