Is there any other place to buy guns around here other than TNT, Army Surplus or the pawn shop? Would like to hear who treats you right. I've been to Crowder's in Johnson City but that's a long drive.

I've not been there myself (yet) but another shooter recommended G&N Guns in Hampton.

I'm not really in the market for more guns right now, even with the Democrats now controlling Congress. But I sure the heck would like to find a place to shoot that is closer than Pond Mountain and has something longer than 100 yards.

People keep telling me that folks around here just shoot on their property, but I'd rather do it someplace where I wouldn't be disturbing the neighbors. Gunfire (ESPECIALLY black powder) around my house startles me, scares my dog, and sets him barking.

It's hard to find any place around here that offers more than 100 yards. That's about what I have here. Fortunately, what few neighbors I do have are far away and shoot themselves. Thanks for the tip on G&N in Hampton. Shouldn't be too hard to find!

The business card says 237 Tolley Town Road, Seven-two-five-four-four-six-e ight. Sorry to have to spell it out like that, but topix.net doesn't accept phone numbers.

There is always Mahoney's in Johnson City, but their prices are higher than most.

I've been interested in the "new" Stoeger 8000, the Berretta Cougar now tooled in Turkey.
I've dealt with the pawn shop and TNT, all good. Just looking for other places. Thanks for your input.

Better get your 2nd Amendment tool SOON before they put the move on them. And avoid the regular routes such as Gun shops/shows - buy from INDIVIDUALS/private sale, no paper trail makes confiscation difficult! Not proposing being criminal just being wise and avoiding hassles. Just look at whats happened in Australia, England and Canada..........

I'll try posting this again:

I called Gary at G&N and found him to be knowledgeable and friendly. He carries little stock, but can order anything at a reasonable fee. He works on guns too.
Mahoney's is like Disneyland to us gun nuts. They have everything and are friendly and knowledgeable too.

They only have a few favorites that can get a decent price there. I have bought guns just about everywhere except there and TNT. I dont know what makes them think a gun is worth 50 bucks more in Mountain City than anywhere else. I started buying guns at Mahoneys, They're cheaper than Mountain City and the service is excellent, Without attitude. I miss Bill at the Pawn Shop when I need to buy something.

I couldn't agree more. I hate going in somewhere and being ignored because a couple of pet customers are having the employees fall all over them.
Tri-Cities Gun Depot is awesome. Really nicely priced.
Don't care for Mahoneys. A bit too pricey.

If you ever see anything you want in Mahoneys, Ask what bottom dollar is. You will have to go ask store manager but end result will suprise you and they will treat you nice while you are there. I admit a gun will probibly cost twenty bucks more than over at Crowders, but you wont feel cheated, Lied to and bent over when you leave. I havnt been looking tobuy anything new in a while but I will check out Gun Depot more closely. Mahoneys had a sale a few weeks ago, Brand new glocks out the door $450 plus tax n background fee. Watch some dealers on that background fee also, They all cost the same.

Everytime I go into the Pawn Shop, poor ole Timmy cant seem to get his head out of his a** and help someone. He's too busy telling folks about killing a deer. Dont shop there anymore.
