Marxist John Case, who writes for various CPUSA publications, has written a piece,“The danger of a Romney election [1],” for the party publication People’s World, which warns that “Re-electing Obama is not sufficient to bring economic recovery or even relief to our people. Only a different class configuration in political power can do necessary minimum reforms to give us a chance. But re-electing Obama is absolutely essential. Now is not the time for hand washing the complexities and tactics away—or failing to triage the most critical questions from those that are less critical. We cannot win everything at once!”

Since 1988, the CPUSA has not run its own candidates for president and vice-president, preferring instead to work through the Democratic Party. Its support for Obama in 2008 and again this year has been open and outspoken.

CANBERRA, Australia --
"Australia's deputy prime minister said Friday that the greatest threat to the U.S. economy are 'cranks and crazies' in the Republican Party.

Wayne Swan, who also serves as treasurer and is his center-left Labor Party government's ranking finance minister, took aim at the Tea Party during a speech to a business forum on Friday, breaking a convention among Australia's major parties to steer clear of U.S. domestic political debates.

Swan, one of few world leaders able to boast his country had avoided recession during the global financial crisis, also labelled the Tea Party wing of the Republicans as 'extreme.'

'Let's be blunt and acknowledge the biggest threat to the world's biggest economy are the cranks and crazies that have taken over the Republican Party,' Swan said in a speech in Sydney."

__________

As you recall, Obama was willing to go to the table and work out a balanced program of spending to spur job growth, cuts in waste across the board, and adjustments to safety net programs like Medicare, Medicaid, SS, that would have cut our deficit by $4 trillion dollars. Plus the spending would have resulted in a faster job recovery, bringing in more revenues!
But the cranks and crazies in the Tea Party who were elected in 2010 to "save our country" vowed no action, no compromise so that they could tank our economy and thus "take back the White House" and save us! The GOP has been dominated by these know-nothing bullies, and they refused to work with the Obama administration.

Shame on you, GOP.

Good grief. You sound like a smart guy.....probably are. I do hope that anyone that reads your drivel will take the time to actually examine your sources. For instance......The American Thinker is basically a right wing propaganda machine, complete with it's own array of pseudo-intellectuals, but unfortunately a lrage array of egregious liars.
Folks...check this fella's sources before you pay him any heed.
Lemmee see......one of Obama's mother's foster parents took a Russian language class in Hawaii? Could she look out and see Russia from there??

To those impressed by the lengthy discourse of "Politically Incorrect".......do yourselves a favor. Respect his/her conclusions, for they obviously come from someone who does his/her homework. Unfortunately, you also need to check the sources his/her homework comes from....and thus the "facts" he/she cites to support assertions. Google "Accuracy In Media"....."AIM "....and draw your own conclusions. Read!(It's free to learn stuff and you don't have to always believe the person who shouts the loudest and has the most footnotes)

sorry elle1...was not responding to you. I visit these forums infrequently and should be more aware of how my posts might be interpreted. My thoughts were directly in response to "Politically Incorrect." He/she likes to attribute his/her "facts" via footnotes. Unfortunately his/her footnotes (If researched) are all basically right wing propoganda machines. I urge everyone who reads this baloney to research the sources it comes from.

I wrote : Stanley Ann Dunham met Obama Sr. in a Russian language class at the University of Hawaii.

And you accuse me of getting excited over "one of Obama's mother's foster parents took a Russian language class in Hawaii"

If you knew the most basic information for the person you voted in for the highest office in the land, you would already know that Stanley Ann Dunham gave birth to that person. Obama's mothers' name IS Stanley Ann Dunham. Obama's mother and father met in a Russian Language class at the University of Hawaii. There were no 'foster parents,' that was just your weak attempt to make my post sound absurd, like who cares what his foster parents did. To the best of my knowledge, Obama was never in foster care. The point that needs to be made is that Obama is from communist stock. Both his parents were communists. His grandparents were communists. And when he was abandoned by first his father and then his mother and sent back to Hawaii to live with his communist maternal grandparents, his maternal grandfather got Frank Marshall Davis, a card carrying communist, to be a mentor to Obama. Obama's maternal grandfather was white and he wanted a strong black male to mentor Obama. That is who he chose - Frank Marshall Davis. Read one of Obama's autobiographies and perhaps you will gain more knowledge, this is information HE (Obama) is giving YOU (the reader) about himself.

I get my information from all different kinds of sources and you are correct in that I may quote from conservative websites. Why is that wrong when those who argue against my posts quote from websites that are on the opposite side of the spectrum on the left? How is that any different? I think it is important gain knowledge from all credible sources and then make intelligent decisions.

Born and Raised Communist in Kansas, over 50 years ago...that's what you're saying about Obama's Grandfather, a WWII Veteran and a Furniture Salesman. Somehow, I doubt that to be true!

The difference between a Reputable Liberal News Source and a Conservative Propaganda Source is that, the Liberal Source is almost always factual and the Conservative Propaganda Source NEVER is!

My first response to you is missing. The link to American Thinker and that particular article will state where the endorsement can be found, it is in one of their stories. The CPUSA is telling their members to vote for Obama. Socialism is the road to communism.
BO's mother was raised by communists. Stanley Ann Dunham moved with her parents to Washington state in order to attend a school that was known to have left-leaning ways. Stanley Ann Dunham met Obama Sr. in a Russian language class at the University of Hawaii. When his mother moved to Indonesia and married Lolo Soetoro, she thought Soetoro was of a like mind - Socialist. When he proved that he loved making money and capitalism, she sent Jr. back to her parents in Hawaii. He was 10 years old. His grandfather, wanting to find a strong black man to mentor his grandson, chose Frank Marshall Davis, an known communist who was followed by the FBI. By Obama's own admission, during his college years @ Occidental College, he sought out the radicals, the hard-line feminists, the socialists as his friends. After Columbia & Harvard, he moved back to Chicago where he took up with William Ayers & Bernadette Dorhn - members of the Weather Underground who bombed the Pentagon, the Capitol Bldg. and NYC police station. And now it has come out that Frank Marshall Davis, the avowed Communist and Juniors mentor, had also spent time in the Chicago area in the 40's working along side the father of Valerie Jarrett, the Cohen Brothers and the uncle of David Axelrod. The communists roots run very deep. They dress up their rhetoric in soft and emotional phrases but in reality they just want the votes of what they consider all 'useful idiots.'
You've let Fox Fake News and those Propaganda Sites fill your head with so much Conspiracy BS, you're not even sane anymore.
SNAP OUT OF IT! Hello...Communism and Russia are not our Enemies anymore and haven't been since Reagan's Presidency! We've given them huge amounts of money & food. So, you and your imagination fueled by the Teapublican propaganda and misinformation, are one of the few Dinosaurs left, in this Nation, that still sees a Communist around every corner and would be alarmed if they really did! Our old Enemy that you're still stuck in that time-frame, is no longer our Enemy...we have different enemies now!
Geeze, where have some of you People been for the last 30 plus years It's obvious that you've got alot of catching up to do and the sources you're choosing to do it, are not good ones nor reliable ones , at all.
Choose a well-known Newspaper...and not one of Murdoch's Tabloid Newspapers, either...and read their Articles from their Archives instead of those Far-Right Conservative Publications, like the "american thinker", which is a joke, if you're lookng for the truth!

Please type google "Democrats: Political slant marks Romney tax return-CBS News"!

'...the returns showed that the couple paid $1,935,708 in taxes on income of $13,696,951.

Democrats quickly leaped on the documents, saying Romney had claimed fewer deductions than he was entitled to just to keep his rate at such a level. Romney told reporters in August he had never paid below 13 percent in taxes in any given year over the past 20. Had he taken the full charitable deduction, it would have pushed his tax liability below 13 percent.

'The information released today reveals that Mitt Romney manipulated one of the only two years of tax returns he's seen fit to show the American people - and then only to 'conform' with his public statements. That raises the question: What else in those returns has Romney manipulated?' said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Stephanie Cutter, deputy campaign manager for President Barack Obama, said the release of Romney's 2011 tax returns 'confirms what we already knew - that people like Mitt Romney pay a lower tax rate than many middle-class families because of a set of complex loopholes and tax shelters only available to those at the top. Yet, Mitt Romney still wants to give multimillionaires an additional $250,000 tax cut at the expense of middle-class taxpayers who will see their taxes go up.'"

Mitt Romney is ....well, he is Mitt Romney.
He talks about the 47% of Americans who pay no income tax as if they are hopeless and beyond reach.
His true feelings were spoken off the cuff. His comments show honestly how he feels. This gaffe shows he is out of touch with Americans.
How can he condemn the 47%?
Of the 47 percent of Americans who pay no federal income tax, two-thirds do pay federal payroll tax. Most of them aren’t making a lot of money; a couple with two children has to earn less than $26,400 to pay no income tax. Altogether, only a tenth of Americans pay no federal tax, and most who pay neither income nor payroll tax are retirees.
These people I just described are not hopeless, worthless dependents of our government! But to Mitt, they are!
Mr. Romney's rant in that room of rich Republicans lets us know who he is. He believes that 47 percent of Americans “are dependent upon government . . . believe the government has a responsibility to care for them . . . that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it.” This statement shows Mitt Romney is completely out of touch with how hard most middle-class people work and how hard they find it to make ends meet.
Half of all American households — households, not individuals — earn $50,000 or less, and the official poverty line for a family of four is a meager $23,021.

The saddest part of all this is that even though Mitt is one of the most ill-fitted, unpopular, out of touch, candidates in history, he still has a decent chance to win. Presidential races are rarely decided by more than a 3%- 5% margin. But when you are able to systematically disenfranchise significant portions of the opposition electorate, you greatly enhance your side's % of votes to increase.
This effort to deny the vote began quietly, mostly under the guise of concern about illegal immigrants...always a good punching bag for the right wing media and something many Americans figured would not affect them. Few people realized that it was a much greater threat to our democracy than any illegal aliens. Along with the "Citizen's United" decision, which basically opened the gates for unlimited corporate dollars to pay for propaganda without identifying the source of that propaganda, these voter ID laws aimed at reducing turnout alltogether.
Now we have nitwits trying to make the president into a communist-maoist-stalinist-fas cist-socialist-whitey hating-threat to our democracy. Meanwhile Supreme court Justice Scalia parties and golfs with corporate lobbyists, Justice Clarence Thomas's wife works for a right wing political group (which should have at least caused him to recuse himself from the Citizens United vote),100% of Republican house members sign an oath to refuse to raise taxes under ANY circumstances (including paying for the bogus Iraq war)lest they lose those corporate dollars in their next primary campaign.
Does anyone really want to identify where the real threat to democracy lies in this picture? Here's a clue......it ain't the president!

There is no use in anyone voting, it doesn't matter who the people vote for, the CIA, FBI and dirty politicians will put the man that they want in office.

Some say the votes in Florida for Bush Jr. were not legitimate, maybe they were, maybe they were not.

If they were not, he still got four more years.

You Teapublicans think you're so smart and the rest of us are so stupid. You don't think that Mitt has a chance of winning , so you're trying to get everybody to stay home and not vote...you're hoping that it'll be Obama Supporters that stay home, aren't you?
This isn't a new trick, either...it's been tried several times before and it very seldom works, but I guess, at this point, you Teapublicans are desperate.
Remember Voters, we've got to try to get them out of Congress, too, so Obama can get his Jobs Bill passed! The Teapublicans ran on "jobs' in the 2010 election, if the got control of the House. Well, they got it, but where are the jobs. the only jobs that have been created, Obama created them, not the Congressional Teapublicans! We need more!

Go look at the graves at Arlington and quietly whisper to them that you think there is no use in voting. You might hear something.
Tell them that some states have decided it is a good idea to make voting more difficult. You might hear something about that too.
