The term Red-Neck originated in the early 2oth century I believe. It came to origin when the Coal Miners of S.W Virginia and Western Carolina were Striking Against the Big Coal companies. The Miners wore a Red Bandana or Hankerchief around their Necks to Identify them from the company Guys....Thus "RedNeck"....WoW! Crazy...I've Found the Turkey!

They were nothing like the Bloods. That was a group of people who united to fight poor labor conditions and financial abuse (the companies paid them in script that could only be spent at the company store). They had their share of violence, but what war doesn't? To even compare them to a gang is quite insulting to the red necks.

I have one mmats jug. 15" one t4000 Rockford amp. the sub is in a ported box about 6 cubic foot tuned to 48 Hz and i have kenwood cd deck. I roughly hit about 157db's in the bass race. You will be able to here me for sure when I come through Mountain city. but i never turn it up that high when i in the car.
so with one sub you did a 157 bass race, i know guys with 30 10" subs and 16,000 rms bassracing mid 150s so either your doing somthing amazing or your full of bs

ok in answer to the topic... if you want to hit 140db+ i would recommend the following subwoofer brands / models:
Fi Car Audio - Fi BTL 12"/15"/18"

Memphis Car Audio - Memphis Mojo 12"/15"

Digital Designs - Most of their 12", 15" and 18" subs can do the job

Kicker Car Audio - Solo X 18"

and for amps: MMats, Rockford fosgate, kicker and orion all have amps that will do a good job

if you go for 12" subs you will most probably need at least two to crack 140db...

if you want your system to have good sound quality go for the Fi BTLs prefeable two 12" and MMats amps as the amps have very low THD ( total harmonice distortion) below 0.1%.

if you just want pure spl and don't worry about sound quality go for a digital designs 95 or 99, 15" or 18", with a good amp one of these will pull anything up 140db - 150db in the right ported enclosure

i hope this helps
