Seriously wow what barn were you born in. I'm a single mom of two by the same father thank you. I also don't get maintance or benfits as I own my own business and earn more them my ex. He plays a very big part in my children's life but as a couple after having children it turned into an unhealthy relationship. So for all our I Well being we decided to separate resulting in us being able to be friends a much better enviroment for our children to be in. In both professional and personally speaking I can honestly say it is clear you have some personal issues to deal with and if I had to hazard a guess you are a very unhappy bitter male earning a very low wage and will be Incable of ever being happy. I hope you find help

I'M a male and my mom had the two of us . My father left when i was two . Mom as a single mom was great , it was a hard life . A mother with two kids in johnson county , people looking down at you . But you know we were happy we didn't have a lot . She did it for over 10 years by her self and than she remarried . Great man ,he not only married my mom he married the hole family . So why not date a single mom , she only made one mistake marring my father who left her for a younger woman . I have dated single moms before most were great . And you know i married one , with a two year old boy . Now 25 years later we have three boys and let me tell you ALL are the same . We don't use step son or step father at all . Maybe dating a single mom is just to much for some men or should i say some boys .

Why are you taking up for the druggie mothers that could care less about their children? The poster you was responding to was talking about women who have children for welfare and all the benefits and not to work and to lay around taking drugs. You must be one of them if you responded this way to his comment. I happen to agree with him. Every child deserves better, than to be just a meal ticket, from both mother and father.

All single moms are not druggies ,and all moms are not on welfare . Some moms my need help just as a man can get food stamps . Hey make more jobs in this county and you would see less welfare and food stamps . Do you think that johnson county is the only county in tn. that has this problem .Really you think having a child and getting welfare is easy think about it . Until a woman or a man can get away from welfare and food stamps they will never have that much just live . Most people have to do something to get by and feeding your child is the most important thing . Sometimes you have get state help . Now they are people that do use the state people that has never worked in they life . These are the people that make people look bad . I myself have never needed the states help but if i ever did , i would ask and us the help . Why not date a single mom well if thats the way you think then don't , they would be better without somebody like you .

In Johnson County many of the single Moms and guys too have STDs. Just stop by the health dept some time. Many single Mom's swap germs with a lot of sleazy men out of desperation for attention and/or drugs. Then some are so fat, smelly and ugly they have a hard time even getting laid so they will drool at any male who pays attention to them including cousins and uncles. Then there's the druggie hos (lots of them!) who no one would touch when sober. That sounds to me like enough reason to not date single Moms. Then there's the kids (aka known as "Johnson County meal tickets". But thats another story. The local Christian religion has been woven into this bizarre lifestyle forming a permissive and accepting "thou shall not judge" mentality. Its really sick. Turns me off to Christianity - of course you should judge. What religion does is set standards for acceptable and unacceptable behavior. If there is no stigma attached to this behavior then it will only increase. Get your young kids out of Johnson County while they still have hope! If not they will be sucked right into the whirlpool.

This thread is hilarious. It'd be nice if we lived in a "Leave it to Beaver " world where people are perfect and everyone in the whole world stays together. Hey, I would probably wake up with a smile on my face and whistle while I worked!!!

You are confused about the difference in "condemn" and "judge".
To condemn is what you did in this post, bad mouthing people and running them down, calling people fat and nasty.
Pointing out their faults, wrong doing and sins in a derogatory manner.

The judging that a "true" Christian would do.
For example, if a Christian saw

a mother neglecting or abusing her child/children (bodily harm or emotional abuse) or not bathing them and making them wear dirty clothes or not feeding them well then I can make the judgement that I need to call 911 and report the neglect or abuse to an Officer of the Law which can contact Child Protective Services if the officer thinks the child should be removed from the home. There is nothing wrong with that kind of judging.
It would be wrong not to report abuse on a child.

I don't know what makes you think that a "true" Christian would sit by and let a child be abused.
A "true" Christian would know it's wrong for a parent to abuse or neglect a child and report the problem to the proper authorities.
But what a "true" Christian WOULD NOT do is jump on the band wagon and join in on the bad mouthing.
A "true" Christian would hope the mother gets her life cleaned up so she can raise her children in a good loving home.

Maybe this will clear your confusion up so you won't post false information about Christians upholding sin.

John 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a women taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4: They say unto him, Master, this women was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5: Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
7: So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
9: And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the women standing in the midst.

This is one of the teachings in the Holy Bible that cause "true" Christians not to as you say "judge" others, I call it "condemn".
EVERY single human on this earth sins daily one way or the other, INCLUDING YOU.
What makes you think that you have the right to condemn anyone else?
If you witness someone breaking the law call the cops and let the Court system judge them and God will judge but YOU have no right to condemn as you are just as guilty of sinning as we all are.

1). I am not a Christian, do not plan to be.
2). You can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. Johnson County and its socio-religious structure bears some mighty bitter fruit.
3). You are obviously doing this in self defense. Hope it makes you feel better.

1st- you didn't answer the questions.
2nd- YOU brought up religion, I wasn't preaching, I stood in defense of "true Christians" against your attack on them and against your false accusations.
That is not preaching.
If you don't want me or anyone else to respond to your posts don't post on Topix.
Oh, that's right, you want response but only if it's in favor of you and your lies.

I thought the only true Christians were the Roman Catholics. I did parchance mention religion but you missed the whole larger point about culture and the type of society it makes. Religion is a big part of the local culture and social scene. For example the local church parking lots are great place to score crack after praising the lord. Your self righteous orthodox views are typical of religious people. They all think they are the only true way. Then they quote the Bible - Oh wait there are at least 7 versions of that. Religion is ok when it helps society but bad when it creates excuses for destructive behaviour like "you can't criticize him because no one is perfect and only perfect perople can judge others". By that philosophy murder, rape, illegal drugs, robbery and for that matter poaching are between the person doing it and God. No one else dare criticize because "all have sinned". Not very practical. I am glad you don't feel that way. If you did you would not have criticized me so strongly. Now go change that kids diapers.

Self righteous us finding fault in others but not yourself.
You have made degrading remarks about other people.
The self righteous one is you.

As far as your statement about someone breaking the law and it being between that person and God, reread my first post to you, the part about calling 911.

So you are the boss on Topix huh? Look in the mirror and re read this post. BTW I never mentioned "true Christians" other than my obvious sarcastic comment about Catholicism used to make the point about different ideas about what Christianity is. Personally I think all Protestants worshiping the King James version of the Bible would go to hell if it existed. But it doesn't so they are safe.

i agree completely with you. My ex wife does not let me see my child in a regular basis but she collects the child support money on time like a micro credit bank.
Society has put single moms as heroine status but they are for the mot part people that don't organize their lives, are selfish and dont want to work to get ahead in life. Just living off others. Stay away from them, they have no values and never cared really for anyone of their children.
