Builder of Calif. 'Phonehenge' sentenced to jail
A man who built a quirky Mojave Desert compound known as Phonehenge West was sentenced to nearly 18 months in jail because he failed to pay for its demolition, Los Angeles County prosecutors said Friday.

I feel that the people in north L.A. county are suffering a horrible injustice. Phonehenge is a sad example. Code enfofcement puts this man in jail, while letting a former public defender on West Ave. E-8 ignore the rules. I was raided, cited, and made to comply. After only six months, I received a supplemental property tax bill. My horrible neighbor was cited in Sept. 2009, yet, according to public records, they havent even been contacted.
To anyone who has been cited by Code Enforcement, please contact our county supervisor, Mike Antonovich, and demand equal enforcement.
