Wait until the papers comes out on Wednesday. They might have some coverage. The tournament is NOW one day and that is it.

Good Luck
We could not have wished for any better weather and water conditions than we had for this weekend's rockfish tournament.

Congratulations to the winners and to all the participants. And thank you to the sponsors and all those who made it possible!

This is a terrific event for Colonial Beach whether you're an angler or not.

83. His brother helped him land it. I'm told a 53" was caught nearby at the same time but the boat that caught it wasn't registered in the tourney.

Rummagestilskins, there's a pic of the leaderboard from Saturday afternoon on Facebook

Scarry and grossed out:

I think you gals need to stay home on the porch and work on your knitting and purling. EVERYTHING seems to scare you and/or gross you out.

Oh, Gunner, hush. It is ridiculous that a mess like that was left. If people can't clean up after themselves they really need to grow up.

I was at the Town pier from 3:30 to about 4:30. Where was all this mess left? I was mostly by the weigh-in station at the gazebo, but I did walk down past the lower deck/dock shortly after 4:00 when they said the Tournament was offishially over. Are you saying that Tournament participants cleaned their fish and left a mess AFTER the Tournament was over?

My grandsons went down to the pier about 430-5 and came running home to say that there was blood everywhere. At first the blood scared them because they didn't know about the tournament, but after we explained, they thought it was "way cool"! Short staffed, Public Works saves the day again!

Considering the "squeaky wheels'" concerns about folks not cleaning up after themselves, why doesn't the town leadership/Chamber enstall a faucet to supply water for clean up, for tournaments and daily fishing. If we don't like what we see, it behooves us to assist. We cannot expect folks fishing to bring/carry gallons of water to clean up that which is to be expected when people fish!!! DAH.

Curious that makes to much sense for our town leaders. They have never had a thought to improve anything. We never had a sink or water out there.
DUHHHHHH, Every Town pier I have ever seen has sinks and facilities for the fishermen to clean the fish, and pier. What are the fishermen to do, but leave a mess, there is nothing to clean up with.

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Cancer

If you've been troubled lately, now's the time to seek a friend's counsel. Even just a little tea and sympathy will be nice, so plan to have lunch with someone simpatico. Everyone needs to spend a little time with someone who won't judge them; Cancer is often wonderful at giving this sort of unconditional affection but often has a harder time seeking it out. Accept a little TLC... you need it now.
