Well gee, why don't these high school students turn to their illegal alien parents who brought them here and ask them, "Why did you do this to me? Why didn't you save for my college education since you brought me here illegally? The American people have done plenty and enough giving me an expensive K-12 education. This is ALL your fault!"

Yeah, the truth would hurt too much.

"Rep. Dave Quall, D-Mount Vernon, sponsor of the House bill, said, "Education should have no borders."

It's unfair to educate children through high school and then bar some of the neediest and most deserving from getting help to continue to on to college, he said."

Yet it's perfectly fair to burden the AMERICAN CITIZEN with the tax bill to fund these ILLEGAL aliens, while at the same time break Federal law requiring State colleges to give in state tuition to EVERYONE if they give it to ILLEGAL aliens?

"I really don't like illegals coming here, but when their parents bring them here when they're 1 and 2 and 3 years old, and they're in our system already ... they've gone through our K-12 system, and if they're going to stay here we should do everything we can to get them to the point where they can give to society, not take away from it," Hewitt said.

Advocates said this measure dovetails with a bill being considered by lawmakers in Washington, D.C., which would open an avenue to conditional permanent residency for high school students who are illegally in the country and want to go to college.

Sanchez is hopeful that the federal bill - known as the DREAM Act - will pass because President Barack Obama spoke favorably about it during a debate for the Democratic presidential nomination last year.

Ortega testified that he grew up scared after arriving in the U.S. when he was 9 years old. He said high school was a hardship, but that he managed a 3.9 GPA. Now in college, he has considered dropping out, but said he found it hard explaining his situation to university administrators."

American students suffer because Washington state caters to big business because they want cheap labor.

fk this. Are colleges now going to have special spanish classes for the illiterate illegals? Are the illegals now going to ruin college education for American students too?

I think this says it all!

"But those concerned about the impact of illegal immigration in this country say it's also not fair to ask families struggling to educate their own children to subsidize the education of those whose parents broke the law in bringing them here.

Ira Mehlman, spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, asked: "What about that kid you'll never hear about, who also worked hard, who has dreams and aspirations ... a kid who may not be able to go to college because the money is going to someone here illegally?"

We have enough citizens who cannot afford to go to college. The illegals need to look to their criminal parents to pay their way. It is not fair to us to have to supplement their college education at the expense of poor citizens.

Then here's a novel idea - stop providing them with ANY education if they are here illegally. One more reason they would stop coming -- no free education.

We'll talk about another Civil War type of situation where the illegals will only wish they had gone back or gotten deported, as that is a much better fate then what awaits them if regular American citizens take matters into their own hands due to the inept actions of the government. And do not think it would not happen -- it would. Illegals will NEVER be legal in our eyes, no matter what.

I agree, deny all education to those here illegally.

The time is ripe to challenge Plyer vs Doe bc the court ruling was based on no evidence showing harm to American children, communities and the State bc TOO FEW illegals were in the schools. Well, that has definitely changed. We now have an overwhelming amount of evidence to challenge and overturn this ruling.

The time is ripe for overturning Plyer vs Doe!

No Shamnesty will ever happen. These lands are not yours. Go home. We hate you and that's never going to change. Americans will never consider you or your children, Americans. All you have is the ILLUSION of the American Dream.

This country prides itself on justice for all but where is this justice? You cannot hold people accountable for the actions of others. If that were the case, then you could imprison anyone for someone else's crime. Yes, my parents broke the law, yes, they should have returned before causing me any obstacles in my life, but they didn't. Am I at fault here? Moreover, I am tired of ignorant people like that Cali guy who just made all illegal students seem like idiots. I apologize for people like him. I am not trying to offend, I only want to pursue my dreams. This country is all I have ever known, it is my home.

Your parents can return now.
So can you.
Then you can apply to immigrate legally if you want to come back, and don't return until you are allowed to enter legally by the US Immigration Services.
If you are caught, you will be deported, and if you are deported you will not be allowed to immigrate legally.

Immigrate legally or stay in your own country.
Disrespecting this nation, our borders, our laws is not the right thing to do. It is dishonest.
If you are here illegally, right now, you can leave, on your own. You don't have to be deported to leave, you can just leave.

There is no illegal alien in this nation who is law abiding.

There are people all over the world who want to come to this country. They apply to come here legally, pass medical checks, background checks, fill out papers, find sponsors, and wait their turn, in line, like good, honest people do, to be allowed to immigrate to the United States.
When you just sneak in, or pay someone to smuggle you in, like you are illegal drugs, or stay here after your visa expires and you are told to leave, you are in violation of US federal law.
When you violate that law, you will violate any law.
What makes you think you are better than all those people who are waiting to come here legally? They are honest, they deserve to be here.
And your parents just sh!t all over their rights, by coming here illegally. You are not better than they are.
What makes you think this nation can take in every person on earth who wants to come here.
We can't. There is a good reason we have immigration laws.
You need to learn how to respect those laws, and obey them.
You have a lousy education if you don't understand that.

What makes you think that you are better than everyone else in this country, that you should be allowed to violate any law at will? You are not better. You are to respect the law just like everyone else. And if you break the law, you are subject to the existing penalty for breaking the law, just like everyone else. The penalty for violation of Immigration law is deportation.

Justice for you, and your parents is deportation.
You are not better than anyone else.
You do not deserve any special treatment.
What makes you think anyone in this country thinks you should be treated better than they, or their family is treated?

Once you are of an age to understand the crime, you are obligated to fix it, as you are also illegal. It is your parents you should blame, not this country or its citizens. We cannot blame you - as in, I would not condone putting you in jail for their crime - but we can, and I do, expect you to recognize the problem and go home. Do not blame us or expect us to put up with you here illegally due to the actions of your parents. Unfortunately,*they* did this to you and you will suffer because of it, but that is something you will have to deal with.

Those citizens whose parents commit crimes and they have less because of it have to deal with it, so do not expect special treatment. The children of citizen parents who commit crimes do not get special treatment. What makes the children of illegals so much better? You are not. Go home and apply to come legally. In the process, blame your parents and ask them why they caused you all this hardship and stress and problems...

Do not, however, visit your parents' lack of morals and failure to follow our laws on us.

This is one of the things that makes me the most mad and makes me so want to see them all get deported as fast as possible. They really think they are above the law and better than citizens and should be afforded special treatment, better than that which citizens receive.

And they raise their children to believe the same -- breaking the law is okay. It defies all logic.

That illegal person's post further proves it...

I never once said I was above the law. I am subject to all of the same penalties and consequences as everyone else. However, what I do not believe is fair is that people want to rip me away from my home, they want me to return to a country I have never once been to, and wait in line to recieve re-entry into my own home. For God's sake I have been here since I was one, and I am now eighteen. My entire life has been here. I learned this country's history, this country's language, this country's culture, not my parents' home country. It would be as if you lived with your family for twenty years and then one day someone said ok we are going to send you to Africa for five maybe ten years who knows. And after those ten years we can't guarantee you you will be able to come back ok now good luck. This is my home, it is all I have ever known. However, this argument is futile, no one will understand my point of view until they experience my life. I am sorry you cant see my perspective. Just please leave me alone and let me find my own hope somewhere else.
