There is already an MLK in Columbus. Is he the only black person who ever did anything or do you think they could come up with a new person to honor? How about just leaving the area's history intact?

How about George H. W. Bush Avenue? He did more to free the oppressed than any president in recent history, but you probably would not know that.

You can change the name of the street to whatever you want, it will not change the environment of that neighborhood. Who's the bright one who thought this up? lol

Currently, because of HIM, our city can only afford to dedicate a pothole in his honor.

I think all the streets named after MLK should be renamed after Malcom X. He did way more than MLK to help Blacks.

"Melvin Steward, longtime leader of the Near East Side business group, told Columbus City Council members tonight that a name change would erase the street's violent reputation and give the area a fresh start."

The "fresh start" would be ruined by that night if not sooner. This is just plain stupid.

Seriously. What a waste of time. This and that whole Bronzeville thing. Aren't there better things to spend money on, especially now?

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Sagittarius

You'll enjoy some very extravagant and indulgent in coming weeks. You might spend money like water, or splash out on all sorts of treats. This is great if you've got the cash to spare, but not such good news if you're struggling to stretch your money until the next payday. You'll also be feeling very sensual and seductive, so watch out world!
