all the police are upset because of the new drug laws that let people out of jail on bond but they will not arrest somebody who shoots another in the back. apparently the shooter is out while they are "investigating". Are they looking for some way to clear him?

reminds me of that movie walking tall. that man took the law in his hands and ran for constable and sheriff, and got to spend many years shooting drug dealers and thieves.

There sure are a lot of people that seem to think that the thief was totally in the right on this. I however am glad that the clerk did what he did. I like to think of it as pest control.

When placed in a dangerous situation, some people don't think properly. If he has to, he should just claim temporary insanity due to the stress of being robbed and the charges would be dropped.

I've got no time for thieves and if he got killed in the pursuit of breaking the law, tough tittie, he shouldn't have been breaking the law.

Next you'll all be whining that it ain't fair that cops have such fast cars that it don't give a man a fair chance to get away.

Nobody will ever know how many future crimes have been prevented due to the actions of this clerk. It is very likely that a future criminal career was abruptly ended when this clerk pulled the trigger. In my book the clerk is a hero for killing a lowlife thug because he saved others from being this punk's next victims. Give the clerk a medal for taking one more scumbag off the street.

I would like to know why people assume that James was robbing the store just because the clerk said so? Has anyone seen the security camera footage? There are cameras pointed in every direction so everyone would be able to see everything that happened. Also the news has said he was shot 100 ft away from the store, was the alleged weapon found? How about the money? I'm not saying James didn't rob the place but before I formed an opinion on the matter, seems like there's a lot of information that has been left out. The clerk is the only one that can say what happened because James can't. I just think its strange that the clerk said he didn't feel threatened, he called 911, locked up the store and went after him. Those are not the actions of temporary insanity.
Everyone is tired of thieves in this town but has anyone thought that maybe there was a totally different story.
Let's say James got a ride home from work and after he was home he needed a pack of cigarettes. What if he walked to the store to buy a pack. What if the clerk had been planning to take money from the store and needed someone to blame and the perfect opportunity. James walking to the store would have been just that, a perfect opportunity. James buys his cigarettes and leaves the store and heads for home. The clerk calls 911, locks Tue store and goes after him. The clerk shoots him.( how many shots were fired and how many hit him?) James is laying there dead so he can't tell what happened. The security camera footage would tell what happened. What about people that live around there, did they hear anything? An autopsy report will state how many times he had been shot and from how far away. There would also be a toxicology report that would tell what was in his system. So if he was on drugs it would show that. You can't deny facts when they are in black and white so before anyone picks a side, think about the situation and the information that has been reported.
