I don't think a public servant no matter their opinions would make a good person to organize a militia. I would think someone a little more low profile wold fit that bill a little better. A sheriff would get in the cross-hairs faster and get the BATFE out to say he made explosives or pull a Ruby Ridge thing on him.

I don't think that it will ever get to the point of them actually confiscating our weapons. Even if it did get to that point who is going to go door to door and take all of America's guns? If that happened it doesn't matter which agency of law enforcement is the ones to come and get the Americans guns because within just a few days of them coming to people's homes to take their guns there would be so much bloodshed from private gun owners defending their freedoms and the agency trying to take them by force the government would see how many are dying from it and would stop. America is and always will be a gun nation, no president or any combination of congress will ever be able to change that. The only thing I could see that would "cause us to loose our guns" would be if the government shut down all the gun manufacturers and made it illegal to produce any new guns and even then you have some 300 million guns already floating around in the US. I would say more than 300 million actually. The only thing I see happening here is maybe tightening of background checks and a better way of tracking guns on paper and maybe better ways to keep an eye on mentally ill people to keep them from getting guns and to make sure that they are reported if the have homicidal thoughts. I don't think congress will allow any new bans on guns (even assault rifles) or any bans on high capacity mags.

Well if the government says to turn in your guns, you have to do it or the prophesy becomes true. "Only the criminals will have guns.". Now remember, this is just assault rifles and large clips, not hand guns or hunting rifles or anything. If you do not turn in your assault rifles it will be deemed a federal offense and you could lose your rights to ALL of your other guns.

Oh, by the way. The provission is very constitutional because it still allows you the right to bear arms as long as you abide by the law. There are restrictions already in place as to what arms you may bear. For instance, you can not have arms such as RPG's and nuclear weapons. There are restrictions and assault rifles are being added to the list of restrictions.

You are a traitor to the United States and should be charged with treason just the same as any public official that tries to ban any of our firearms. Congress will not allow any new bans to be introduced on our guns or mags. Why do you think Obama changed his tune about making an executive order to ban them and bypassing congress? Because word got back to him that if he done that it would be unconstitutional and he would be impeached! The law abiding gun owners have won this fight already and you are just too stupid to realize it! Lol!

Amen to that brother.

There is no record of any of our guns in free states. One would have to be caught in public in possession for them to even know.

Door to door confiscation will never happen south of the Ohio River. The casualties would be too much for the police to bear.

I honestly don't think the local police and state police would even attempt to confiscate guns. If it happened it would be some type of federal agency like the ATF or Military and like you and I both said there would be so many casualties that they would eventually stop trying to take them from us. I am a member of the NRA and from what they are saying they have enough support in congress to block anything that Obama tries to pass.

Actually not a liberal. My comment was researched and middle of the road politics. I am actually for the second ammendment rights. Just stating the facts. I am also not a traitor. Again just stating the fact with a level head. SOmething which many on here are sorely lacking.

You know, Bushmaster, you strike me as the kind that signed an online petition to have Kentucky removed from the union when Obama got voted into office for a second term. THAT, sir, is a traitor. Wanting your state removed from the flag that you pledge alegence to. Me, I'm here for the long haul. Good or bad, bring it because this is American and we can take it.

Have fun roasting soylent green dogs in the FEMA camps loser. I'll be eating canned veggies with salt pork. If this administration is so intent on subduing the populace that it leads to civil war, then so be it. I'll give up my arms to those wounded and mangled men who take them by force. Civil war is a horrible concept, but not unheard of, when corrupt dedicators wish to force Utopian ideals on those who know better.

Today is a good day to die.

You dumb ass! I'm am not the type to try and remove my state from the union. That is not an option, throwing traitors like you and Obama in jail for treason and taking back our country is in fact an option. Yes what you are implying is in fact treason because by voting for or in the politician's point enacting the laws would in fact be a direct attack on true Americans constitutional rights there for any one be it private citizen or politician who votes for or supports that is guilty of TREASON!!!

What constitutional rights do you think are being broken? All they are doing is removing arms that do not belong in the hands of civillians. You will still have the right to bear arms which keeps your second ammendment rights intact.

Any restrictions that are put on our second amendment is unconstitutional. Law abiding citizens should be able to have the same weapons as the military minus explosives to protect ourselves and our country from enemy's both foreign and domestic (domestic meaning pecker heads like you and anyone else who tries to infringe on any of our rights). It's the same difference as someone telling you that you have the freedom of speech but to tell you that you are not allowed to say certain words.... I get sick of arguing with idiots like you that cannot see that what Obama is trying to do is the first step to completely disarming the citizens of the United States. Millions of American citizens have died serving our country to insure those rights and for me or any other American to sit by and allow someone who is nothing short of a dictator to take those weapons from us is a slap in the face of those who died defending those rights from foreign enemy's. Now is our time to stand up and fight with words and our right to vote and impeach the enemy that is attacking those freedoms domestically! Anyone who tries to attack our rights is an enemy of the United States and should be impeached and charged with treason! Nothing in our constitution should be changed, those are the principles that this country was founded upon and anyone who is not happy with that needs to find a place to live that better suits their beliefs!
