jails have bologna everyday now - compassion, that's what you feel for people who are less fortunate than you are, whether it be mentally, physically, or a victim of abuse and or violence. Not everyone in this world was taught how to do anything but lie, cheat, and steal..We are all a product of our enviornment, and are raised however our parents saw fit. It's always been about the upbringing, or family genetics. Our world needs to love more often, and hate a whole lot less.....Humans are not perfect, and some may be easier to love than others, the inmates are human who made mistakes for whatever reason. Pray for them, and be glad that you contribute to your country and fellow man; good, bad, or ugly..

I have never done anything to put myself in a place like this.I attend church and not just on the important days. I work a full and part time job and raise a small child. I don't usually make comments on subjects because everyone has a point to some degree. I am not self righteous and I don't make comclusions when the facts are usually not all there. There are some yes that need to be behind bars....all agree, agree! There are some that have situations that we as a public have no knowledge of. I have been to see a friend in there and yes I call'em my friend. I have no right to judge. When ever I have faced a demon along my way through life that friend as been there. I listen to the stories of those that visit and there is the grandma with the troubled grandson who's parents were never there but she is. There is the sister or brother that doesn't understand why their brother or sister chose this path. There is the mother who is stricken with why her son who she loves and thought she had raised him right visits him with love but sadness. There is the wife or husband that prayed more then once that they would stop "using" and get help. No one chose this but that is what happends. Those of us with no discretions against us think that this somehow gives us a right to judge. No one says these men and women need be living in the ritz....but they do need a clean place to lay their head and have proper hygene. I know that my comment will get both of the negative and positive but hey that is why this country is so free....we just need to know and understand that when you are negative about something or someone it doesn't make anyone feel better but yourself and that is just self centered... I believe and feel people do change but if you keep kicking someone down...what is the point of them trying to walk. I love my friend and hope they see the light but sometimes it takes someone to pull them in that direction. So if you have a negative comment I am ready and don't mind your disgust. If you have the positive then hopefully we will all realize one day that there is always more to a story....When people put up walls it is usually to see who will take the time to knock them down.....Above all else guard your heart for everything you do flows through it. Proverbs 4:23. So when you make the choice to comment remember that positive or negative it is a feeling that flowed through that heart of yours and rememeber you are not just making your comments to me (who you don't know) you are making them to the mother, grandmother and all the brothers and sister, wifes, children...the family who choose to be the positive in a negative situation.

I know Eric and he is doing a very good job in most aspects of running the jail BUT I know someone who does not get into trouble at all and was recently arrested..wrongly which will come out in court, that wasn't allowed a shower, asked for toothbrush and paste, and deoderant and was refused, had to sleep on the concrete in a very small HOLE with about 8 others and was not allowed to make the one phone call for approximately 14 hours. Now you tell me this is right!! No matter what crime they commit, they are still human!! The guards were very rude which I know they are trained to do this but when they see someone who is not ordinarily in there and some of them acknowledge that it is a rigged up charge, they should have a little compassion. I know I will get a lot of negative responses but that is ok. If this doesnt change we may have a new jailer next time.

Alright, after they have been classified and sent to their facility, how does one obtain their time sheets? What does the inmate do then? Just wait until they are released? Is there anything else that can be done?
Are there any sort of programs offered at this jail? Any sort of work shops or recovery groups? Anything to help the potential ex-inmate to transfer into the outside world?

it depends on what jail or prison they r placed at.if they have a class d felony, then the inmate needs to request a time sheet from the class d coordinator.f its in a prison then the same applies there per their class level.jobs r given to inmates based on there class level.level 3 inmates work only inside of the facility.level 2 can work outside with close supervision like road crew or the likes.level 1 can have a real unsupervised job outside and can sign themselves out and in per their work schedule.time sheets are usually given out once a month for any class of felon.

Yes, he has trained his staff and inmates well. Only facility I know that inmates run the jail! They roam the halls as free as a bird. Inmates search other inmates, employees provide them with contraband then lock them down for having it. Its easy to boast and show face publicly so everyone can think your this great person. If you can read... you can assume just about anything, even invent a good situaiton when there isn't one.

His staff does take care of the jail since he is never there, but don't be fooled. Some of these people are the most unprofessional you'd ever come in contact with. The state needs two people to go undercover in this place. One as an inmate and one as a worker. They would see some of the most unbelievable behavior. Undercover of course if you can keep the person who tips them off in the dark. If you want a vacation, this is the perfect place to be. It is not jail. If some of the guards like you, they will even let you go outside so you can smoke in the parking lot. Even though smoking isn't allowed on the property. Hopefully, someone will take these issues seriously and make some changes before the public is allowed to vote back in one of the worst jailers of all time. Look beyond the public display people and realize who you are praising for a job well done.

I have a loved one in jail and while I agree that inmates dont need to be pampered, they should at least feed them enough. My loved one was already very skinny before jail. Said the portions are tiny and taste awful. When their cell complained about it, the portions got even smaller. Now, Im not saying that they deserve gourmet meals, but at least give them enough to eat. If they arent fortunate enough to get commisary, they are pretty much forced to go hungry and that just isnt right. Especially the ones who were already underweight.
