Better living and wellness in Atlanta, AKA Broward pain

If you are ignorant enough to ignore this then good luck. I drove a older gentleman to this pain clinic. Although many doubters will take this as a druggie or dealer going to get medicine, such is not the case. This gentleman is 64 years old and suffers extreme pain due to a broken back suffered in a fall as a construction worker. There has been an extreme onset of chronic arthritis rendering him in a great deal of pain. Several opinions have ruled out surgery as a viable option for correction and due to the opiate problem in this state, getting a viable amount of pain medication to allow for his comfort in an otherwise uneventful life is an impossibility. I could care less about those of you drug addicts going for pills to use or sell, however if you are in legitimate pain, listen up. The Drug Enforcement Agency was in the office as were members of the Chamblee police speaking with the owner, doctor , and pharmacist. Upon leaving the clinic, we were pulled over and interrogated. They had the gentlemans personal information and a basic idea of his medical history there. They did not give specifics, but enough. The specificity or lack there of may have been due to the medical records release laws. They informed him that he would be under a great deal of scrutiny and had he opened his medicine, he would have been under arrest. He was made aware an investigation would be made to check his story and a visit could possibly be made at anytime to do a pill count. He would be informed a minimum of 3 days ahead of time in case he chose to have representation present. It would appear that the clinic is cooperating with law enforcement. In the case of abusers this is probably a good thing, but if you are legitimate, be aware of the possibility. This clinic is possibly a front for investigation

I have went to this clinic for 2 years, when it was Broward and now when it is Better Living. I am a legitimate patient and not an abuser and I KNOW this clinic is not a "front for investigation", it is a legitimate clinic, with an excellent Dr. before at Broward and an excellent Dr. now in Chamblee. He spends time with you, he cares about your health and well being and of course if people are abusing the system they will be investigated and ANY clinic would have to cooperate with law enforcement investigations, but I do believe they would have to produce a subpoena duces tecum to this clinic to get any documentation from them on any patient, PERIOD!!! They are not a pill mill so if the police come looking for your records, its cause you did something wrong, not this clinic!
