I inherited my uncle's knife collection recently, their conditions vary, but other than that I have no idea on what their value is. Anyone know if any of the local pawn shops or other stores would be able to have them appraised or be willing to purchase them for a fair price? Thanks for your help.

If it's a pretty nice collection, Case, and German knives. The best thing anymore is sell them on EBay. It's also a good place to appraise them also. Just type in one of the knives you're wanting to sell, and see what they're bringing.

I've always collected knives myself, and traded around a little at flea markets and such, but unless you're really interested in knives, and like to trade, your best bet would probably be EBay. I've found they bring about the same on there as they do anywhere.

I will tell you knives bring more in the winter on eBay, but if they don't bring what you want you can always wait a week or so, and run them back through.

I've had some bad experiences with online auctions so I'll probably avoid using eBay. Thanks, though,

I do not care whether or not you think they are stolen, for the fact remains that they are indeed mine, given to me by a very beloved family member.
If you have no useful information, please do us all a favor and take your ridiculous statements elsewhere.

NOT! a ridiculous statement! This is how thieves get rid of hot items, thru topix, Craigs list, eBay ect, police watch these sites anyway for stolen items. And if the family member was so beloved why are you selling them! SHAME ON YOU! WONDER WHAT THEY WOULD THINK ABOUT YOU SELLING THEM! greedy! What you need money for PILLS???

Sir or madam, I am not sure who has done you wrong in the past, but you have let your past experiences make you paranoid. Paranoia combined with your seemingly low intelligence is not a good mix.

Go see Craig at Montgomery Traders Market across from Sterling Lanes. He knows about knives and will give you a fair price if you want to sell them.

Another fine example of Kentucky's education system.....

Do not readily blame the Kentucky education system. Regardless of how many times a teacher tries, they simply cannot teach stupid people. Or in other words, you cannot make chicken salad from chicken shit.
