Are you kidding me? Just read in the paper the board voted at the last meeting to increasecoaching stipends for all coaches. That at first looked good until you realize that they increased those pays by 40,000. Wow!!! We pink slip teachers but can find a way to give coaches stipends. Some things in this district never change regardless of the superintendent. Two of the stipends were for two new additional assistant football coaches. Are you serious? Why do they need additional coaches they don't win either. Dan Gooch has not produced since he came here but some people get whatever they want in this district. Sickening!!!!

Don't you realize that the more we spend on coaches the more our children learn and become productive members of society after high school(sarcasm). That is why we are spending so much $ on Happy and his wife to come here on our tax dollars. I hope the people of Montgomery county know what we are paying for. Sports should be complimentary to our students education, not the focus of it. We want our kids to become professionals and high school graduates, put that money towards are kids, not to grease the pockets of our coaches.

Do you have specifics about these increases? I looked at the board meeting minutes but it just says the topic not the details.

Of course they will find away to make sure they keep the coaches on...Lord help them if they have a stinky team.
It is okay for us to have some stupid kids, as long as they play good sports.

We as a community have to do something ,we have homes in the county that wont sell because of our school system is in a mess .Really who would want to buy a pc.of property here that have children .We need TO FOCUS HERE ! We have way to many over paid positions in the county and no hope of getting new teachers in this mess .Every department starting now needs to be audited for fraud of spending .Tax payers are ready to see the numbers spent .

Current, former employees and Parents an audit has begun the Wednesday of spring break... According to the thread Josh Powell audit. We are asking any complaints or tips you have please report to the links provided. Anything your child has told you or any papers sent home which you are incomfortable with please tell the state auditor, OEA, use all the links if necessary. Thank you

Powell's annual job fair to hire before employees get their pink slips was April 20. Are you one to be pink slipped this year? Powell needs his annual raise, to do this he can pink slip employees who are making more & hire new at less pay.

I would love to coach football at Montgomery County High. I would bring an exciting style/ brand of football to Mt Sterling. I would also work to get those kids into college so they could further their careers and education. MCHS has top notch facilities. Again, I have applied and would love the opportunity!
