I hope this is not the case...the kids that have been at MOCO for years are the kids who should play...i would rather lose with what we have than win with new recruits....

It was no secret that the new basketball coach was going to lead the program in a "new direction" by recruiting in new kids, instead of instructing the existing ones. After all the distruction he has caused the district, bringing in a well known coach and paying him almost $200k a year was one way the superintendent thought he could win back some of the community. Instead even more peole are upset because of the recruting and the existing kids not getting a fair shake. Fortunately both will be gone soon.

I was told we have a New Big Man that's 6'9, and a Guard from Lexington or Georgetown thats really good. Plus a couple family members of 1 of our stars. I'm thinking we'll have 3 kids to start that are Not from here. Better WIN if were going to bench our local kids!
Any truth to any of this???

I live in Lexington now so I'm out of it. But this was why they brought Happy Osborne in. He's a nice guy, but he's a recruiter, not an Xs and Os coach. He promised to get them to the State and this is how he plans to do it. Any local kids who really love the game and want to play should be transferring to Fleming, Clark, Bath, or Bourbon Counties.

Here is a link to help the Montgomery County Blue Blooded Fans and Parents understand why little slow White 5'6 Edgar Phillip Vanderbilt Fuller with a 3 inch vertical is getting water to Usain Bolt.

A kid from Shelby County and a kid from Las Vegas has been brought in to play for Happy. The kid from Las Vegas was being recruited by Happy at Tenn Tech. He is 18 yrs old and has his own apartment here in town. I wonder how that is being paid. Happy is a good guy but the KHSAA is watching every move that he makes. Phil Rison will protect happy and make sure nothing happens to him. I'd say we will be on probation within two years.

I forgot to mention that a foreign exchange student who plays basketball is staying with the fullers. If the fuller kid is the point guard of the future then MC is in trouble. If he plays in front of any guards on last year team I would be shocked. I saw one guard eat him alive in practice who is a jr this year. I'm not sure he is playing this year. The big combs boy should help with rebounding. I'm glad those boys stayed after their father was treated like crap by Powell and heffington. That shows me that family is nothing but class. I'm very disappointed in Phil Rison and I think he needs to go along with Powell and heff.

The foreign exchange student staying with the Fuller family is not a basketball player, he is a soccer player. Get your facts straight!

This isn't college. I can't believe this is allowed to happen. They need to test the basketball players to see if they are able to play. I just wonder if they are given a passing grade so they can. I'm all for sports but when there is so much backlash then I think it should be suspended for awhile. They can't pay for are school nurses but they can pay for a high price basketball coach that probably isn't going to get us far. Its a shame.

If you read the paper the School nurses was not the schools fault it was the Health Dept. They discontinued their services cause of budget cuts not the school systemsystem.

well I don't think they are telling the truth about the whole school nurses. I know a retired teacher she told me that the school didn't want to pay the price for the nurses so thats where the disagreement came in. And she just retired because she didn't like how everything was going on. And I believe her she has been in the school system for over 20 yrs. I believe they are trying to cut from other areas so they can for high price salaries. And its a shame.
