I think three of them are up for reelection. I forget what ones? I think 2 of the 3 voted for Powell and one for Phil Rison from what I heard a while back.

Is the date May 22, the same as the presidental primary?

Election is in November. I want to know who will be running against the incumbents.

Let us all pull together, and vote for ones who will fit into the new program that Mr. Powell has put together. It is loads better than the old way.

Who will be running that will actually be for the welfare of all the children, and not just a select few, or even themselves. We've seen enough of that.

Mr. Powell has us on a program that does away with the "select few", let's not vote in people who will throw a monkey wrench into it. This is the first time in years the entire program has been on the right track, it would be a shame to ruin it now.

Just a couple of bad apples can ruin the whole bunch. We've all seen that, just look at all the useless teachers that were let go.

You're right about the "select few." He has a program that is only about himself, his power, and his career advancement to Frankfort. Damn anyone else, including the children.

No teachers have been let go. They are under contract and can't be let go during the school year unless they get into legal trouble.

Stop trolling.

This thread is for the board election only. Please leave everything else for the other threads. Thanks.

As a community we need to know and understand the backgrounds, intentions, and agendas of our elected officials.

Who ever does it. Most good board members put in around 40 hours a week on school business. The pay for a school board member is $ 75.00 per month. Most people blame the board for employee moves in the school. This is and only is the SI. call. Board members are by state law not allowed to talk or interfere with employee issues. Good luck to anyone who wants a seat on the school board.

Trolling? You really are an idiot!

Do you expect anyone to believe no teachers were fired? The only reason you keep saying that is because you were one of them!

Let's get people on the board who will stand behind the new system, and watch it excel. Just like it has this past year.

Everyone except a very select few are all for the changes being made. Heck, even on here just a couple of you keep changing your name, trying to make it look like there's more of you than there really are, everyone can see that. LOL!

You're a joke, go be some other county's problem, you've caused enough problems here.

Can't you understand?? We are tired of a bunch of worthless teachers. Move on!

Are you on drugs? It is a big problem here in Montgomery County. You can get help, it isn't too late. Then again you're probably in NY or CO or something because it is apparent you know nothing about Montgomery County Schools.

Thank you Fleetwood. That is helpful. There are several rumors about who will be running, but I don't think we'll know for sure for several months. Everyone needs to be replaced, the spending has to get under control.

Personal attacks is usually where the conversation goes, when one runs out of things to say. Your remark is further proof of that.

If one was smart enough, one would know when you post from a smart phone, your ip adress will come up, as pretty much anywhere.

Give it a break. Try to hide your previous record, and get a job teaching in another county. It doesn't really matter who the new board members are, they will not hire any of you back, so move on.

Don't have a dog in this Powell fight but I have to say your post was one of the most hypocritical I have seen.

Mr P aka "plain as day" = attempt at redemption FAILED. Now, try to have your secretary erase that and put in the right answer ya loser. Go save a dog or buy another vehicle to make yourself feel better about the slimeball you really are. But leave my kids out of your plan. MC is not one of your stepping stones or political campaign. It is my childrens home, and they are much much more than JUST A TEST SCORE!

You think I'm Mr Powell?? LOL!!

I swear, it's no wonder you people got fired. You have to be the dumbest bunch I've ever seen.

We've got a couple of X-employees on here, changing their name almost everytime they post, mad because they got canned.

Well, nobody else cares. If you would have been doing your job, you would have still had it. The teachers who got fired were absolutely terrible. The only reason they made it as long as they did, is because they had a little pull in the right place.

So, move on. Mo Co is better off without you. You didn't care about the students when you were here, you won't care about the students at your next job. You only cared about yourselves, and how much trouble you could start. Good riddance!

Just a little fyi I do not teach in mc, and have never been fired by Jp. I know him very well from what he did to teachers in another place way before you bunch of dumb asses hired him. He told my school the same thing, he was threre for us, going to help us, have his family live there, on and on. I believed him, and even liked him, respected him. Now, I have to deal with him again, and the mess he made and left is stil healing. I am a parent involved in the mc school system and my child is being told about how they have to do well on this test or else they might lose more people they love in their school. I'm telling you, it's hard to tell a child that their teacher did a bad job when they love and trust that person so much. Jp is a monster. None of his butt kissing buddies will get my vote, nor anyone in my family. Sorry to say you are him, bit I can't imagine anyone taking up for him, accept maybe his poor beat down wife.

At least Josh Powell appears to be doing something that may be in the interest of the students here in the county. Would you rather have the former cheerleader that they say must be sleeping with someone at the state level that runs the Bath County School System? Now those people have a mess on their hands. The citizens have even tried to elect new board members, and she finds a way to get them thrown off the board, so her state personal friend will reappoint the board members that were ousted by the voters. Sometimes you are better off with what you've got!
