Why the hell was he in the shower at 3 in the morning, I guess people in political positions always tell the truth and there is never a conspiracy of lies! I don't believe it at all!

Take responsibility.. Innocent until proven guilty? We are in the USA. The idiot that thinks that going to jail and passing away needs to remember what country we live in. And that Ronnie had a family. I have also heard of the excellent treatment the jail gives sick inmates. Laws that govern are for all not just those that don't get caught.

The medicine that this man was detoxing from was prescribed to him legally by a local doctor for a condition that he had and when you abruptly stop taking this medication after being on it for years it will cause seizures without the proper treatment or under a supervised doctors care so this man should have been in a holding cell upfront where someone could check on him periodically. So if he was in the shower either he was back in general population which should have never happens or he was in one up front in which the guard put him in and locked him in and then you wait for a guard to let you out but if he wasn't able to move or speak I doubt he put himself in the shower I don't know what happened I pray for his family but I do know that the jail needs more trained medical staff and treatment for the inmates

Detoxing without proper treatment can bring on seizures and even death. Google it. If he was detoxing he deserved to be treated by a qualified DR that knew all the facts.

You people just make up your own stories. Unless you were at the jail to see things happen how can you post things that aren't true

Your right, but did he tell anyone he was detoxing? Most don't.

They have nothing but kids working there --- he was very sick should have not been sent back to jail after being seen at hospital

He wasn't buying his meds on the corner he was given them by a dr. So wouldn't the county be liable for taking him off of dr prescribed medication which states on the warning that persons taking medication can not go cold turkey during detox. Is that not premeditated MURDER. Willfully knowing that taking a patient off of medication can cause death.

They drug test when people come in to the jail anyone who has a dirty drug test and busted for dealing will detox common sense should tell anyone working there that he will detox also some one stated that they had taken him to the hospital previously so they knew to keep an eye on him I'm not saying they didn't watch him but if they didn't watch him it's going to be bad

Unless you work in a facility, know the proper procedures and regulations: speculations, assumptions and opinions are all you can offer. Which is typical of this site. Shame on any of you who speak ill of the dead regardless of their history. Families do not ask for their loved ones to have a past, nor do their children. When you spineless people come on here and talk crap about people, you forget who you are really hurting. The man has passed, he doesn't feel the pain from your unnecessary "karma" thrived comments. I have no idea who the man was nor do I know his family, but be respectful. Otherwise, you are as inhumane, heartless and as big a piece of sh&% that you claim he was. Hypocrite might be the word lingering on the tip of my tongue when I read many of these comments on here.
I do not agree with all that goes on at this facility and definitely think people need to scratch beneath the surface in the daily operation of the facility not just when something bad happens. Formerly, I can tell you the shift of deputies who were taking care of this man were probably the most attentive of the three.
All I can say is when you try to stay UNDER budget, corners might get cut. You can't add perfume to an unbathed body and mask the smell of stinch! Think about it. There is something very wrong in that place, but this tragedy just provided the spotlight. Now, if DOC and investigators care enough to figure it out, that is the question that remains!

I know for a fact that certain jails will not give inmates their meds. And if I'm not mistaken that is what caused him to die. By law no matter what the medication if a inmate is susposed to have it the jail is susposed to give it. And don't pop off to me about something you think that you know cause I know this for a fact. The reason I know this is I know someone who youst to be a Deputy Jailer and that's what they told me. And to the family you need to sue the jail for this if that is what happened so this won't happen again.

This makes me sick! The only thing that should matter right now is someone died!! A father, brother, uncle, child , and friend. Could you maybe let the family grieve and everyone stop talking crapp. He hasn't been gone even 24 hrs yet and as usual it's this! ENOUGH!!!
