Wow someone is brown nosing.lol anytime you want to remove your nose from her ass feel free to do so. much bigger issues in sharpsburg than that frucking community center it will be a matter of time and that to when its built will get destroyed. Wasted money money like that should have been put to use like hiring honest Law enforcement.
Just another person wasting our time and money but wait lets praise miss dorothy for all the good work she has done. noooooootttttt Why doesn't she do something about candy ass bert boyd soliciting whores and going down behind grace gospel church and having her perform the deed. Not something I want my kids seeing in broad daylight. Poor town is just going to hell.

The state forces our schools to be shut down and combined into bigger and larger schools with trouble makers and drug control problems. Then they reopen this school and waste a million dollars for a community education center. There will be some serious waste going on there and some of the locals will get rich. It is nothing but an early Christmas for certain people.

I seriously wonder how much reverse racism is playing a part in this. They started whining about noise and got the wall built. Did Bethel or any other community got any wall built? Did Bethel get a training center? No they did not. They would have to travel to Owingsville or Flemingsburg for post secondary classes ??????? Oh, that is such a long distance to travel , can't they bring the basketball court to us?

"a computer lab, a gymnasium and general meeting space for various community programs and events "

Can't we all get the state to build us a party center??? I will be honest with you, I don't believe this would ever been approved for a white community. It sounds like a hang out to me and they are already having problems along those lines in Sharpsburg. My guess is there will not be one single taxpaying person finding a job that will be a result of this center, not a single one.

Who will benifit from this? A million dollars of tax money for how many people? It could have been used to benifit the county as a whole and not just a select few. Remember Breshear on election day Bath County.

My goodness! What ignorance! Bath County can't just take that money and use it as they see fit even if it is needed worse elsewhere. This money came from different sources specifically designated for this project. I have no reason to suck up to Mayor Clemons. I do not live in Sharpsburg and will probably never be in the facility but I hope the citizens of Sharpsburg and the rest of Bath County enjoy the much deserved facility. There is a certain breed of people who are miserable and want everyone else to be miserable right along with them. They will do everything in their power to ruin this facility. Please don't let this happen!

Maybe if it was in a central location for all of Bath County to enjoy maybe it would be more of a fair and equal center. If Owingsville is to far for Sharpsburg to travel then the same could be said for Owingsville traveling to Sharpsburg. Salt Lick going to Sharpsburg would be out of the question by their reasoning. The truth is it will only benefit very few people. Owingsville and Salt Lick both have more people than Sharpsburg. What would make more sense is to have it in a central location like Owingsville which has the largest population. It would come closer to benefiting Bath County. As it is this is only for a select few, very few.

Maybe Sharpsburg got the facility because no one from Owingsville or Salt Lick put forth the effort to obtain it! Those things don't just fall out of the sky. Someone put in long hours and hard work to get it done. Let's give credit where credit is due. Let's be happy for them and not so envious.

i'd be happy for the town and for the mayor if someone really cared for Sharpsburg as a whole. but really when is the last time Cico you visited Sharpsburg or have you ever? Do you know how many folks live in Sharpsburg? are you familiar with the crime and drugs that are in Sharpsburg? or how about the illegal gambling that goes on every Wednesday and Saturday in the old bank or the gambling machines that are in town & country in the back? there is no law in Sharpsburg. If you are gonna have laws then by freaking hell enforce them. If not take the freaking laws off the books. wasted money for a wasted town.
The Mayor knows exactly what is going on in this town and if she really wanted to make a difference she would see to it that the law was enforce she have the town get cleaned up not just cosmetically but behind the scenes. not just set a example but be the example. ohh wait she can't do that cause her old man breaks the law too smoking pot.
This town cracks my ass up so many people breaking laws and the laws of god but go to church every weeks to ask for forgiveness and still keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again. Yep the Mayor is aware of what is going on but is not doing a damn thing about it.
Again wasted money for a wasted town bet too that once the get strted on the building they will run out of money and there will sit a unfiinished building again wasted money in a time that there are so many homeless and starving children in the usa and we have to borrow money from other countries cause we can pay our own bills come how foolish can we be? lets get our priorities straight first lets get our Country out of debt then think about improving historical sites.

Why should anyone be happpy our tax money is being mispent. If you want our tax dollars spent in Bath County , do it to help all the people not just a few. A million dolllars is a lot of money.
Sharpsburg had a population of 339 according to the US Census Bureaue estimate of July 1, 2009. 1 million dollars spent for a center for so few people. Makes no sense.

Everything you just said about Sharpsburg will be said about Owingsville and Salt Lick by someone else. If you know about these crimes you should do your civic duty and call the KSP and report them. If you have the nerve you should file a complaint and testify against them. It will take a joint effort by the entire community to eliminate the criminal behavior. I know a lot of good people who live in Sharpsburg. I'm sure they would support any effort you would make to clean it up. Good luck to you!

Cico Been there done that. Seems the law is involved as well. There is nothing sacred about this town anymore. I look forward to when they start and find themselves nothing but assholes and elbows because they were not only warned but knew what was going on and nothing was done about it to correct the issues this town has. The ones i feel sorry for the most are the children cause how are they going to learn any different if all they seen is what we see.

its been said before we the community and the government should not just set a example but we should be the example. so if we screw up we pay the consequences but when we succeed our kids and the community and the USA succeed.
Have Law enforce the law. Pay me and i will be more than happy to enforce the law.

The reason its not going to be built in Salt Lick is because Salt Lick is a junk yard, even a car dealership is just a junk yard. So we didn't want to build it there because of the junk yard and all the pill heads living there. We are not going to build it in Owingsville because of all the people that think they are high and mighty but are no more than white trash, you know them big feelers I am talking about, add all the pill heads to them and we just don't think its a good place for anything else except another gas station. Now Sharpsburg is different, clean, nice, good clean people.

So now you know why we chose Sharpsvurg
