I really think the problem is evolution is being studied in the schools. They also need to give every kid a bible so that they can learn determination and morals. It will not make any difference until we get God and discipline back into our children's lives.

Evolution??????Give me a break!! It's the sorry parenting at home that makes these kids.......sad but so very true!!!! Don't blame the system! Respect .......should be a priority when raising a child!!!!! Kids these days have none!

I find it interesting that the principals and other central office higher up employees that are being moved and taken out of their positions are all women!!! I see a lawsuit coming on. Mapletons principal-female- moved out- replaced with a man, McNabbs principal- female- moved out- replaced with a man. High school principals - male - still there even tho their scores were the lowest in the county. Assistant superintendent- female - moved out - the male one? got to stay. What gives?
Agree!! Seems Mr. Powell has issues with women overseeing anything!!

Mcnabb is just too big, too many kids in that school. They need to break it up. A dress code is good too tho

Good job Mr. Powell!! Cleaning up from the top down! People get over it! Change has to happen or our children are going to pay for it.

I am sure there is reasons behind every move being made.

There's a lot of hate here. Personally I'm not little Miss Susie Sunshine but you guys are bitter! Give these new people a chance, if you were in their situation you'd want one too. Let's look at this positively. Personally, I like the idea of more men in the school system. There are a lot of kids without strong male figures in their lives and these men could help.

I would not hurt to have a more organized school day. It would not hurt a thing to dress all the kids in bib coveralls, long sleeved shirts, buttoned to the top or some other uniforms, that way there would be no competition and arguing over who looks like a model.

Have them all in conservative haircuts, no Mohawks, colored hair or weird looking stuff in hair style or head covering, unless the head covering is part of the religion. Only exceptions maybe burkas or long robes, dresses for the girls according to the religion.

Also take the cell phones and put them in lockers or keep them at home, they have phones in the office for emergencies and such. No jewelry, rubber bands on the wrists or anything like that kind of distraction. Remove the distractions they are there to learn let them learn.

I agree with you, however if they are going to change the dress code it should be implemented at the beginning of a school year. Ive already spent a small fortune on school clothes for this year and really can't afford to be buying a whole new wardrobe for my child. Times are tough, especially with the holidays coming up!

Take away some of the distractions it would make a big difference in school. Now changing the bad attitudes or problems from the parents that is a whole different ballgame. If they had the parents and school system in place that I went through in the 60s and 70s issues would be dealt with both at school, home and soon would be non-issues.

I have been thinking the same thing. And as far as McNabb's female principle goes she didn't have a chance to prove herself good or bad.... She had just began her 2nd year.
