I feel that 18 years is way too long a sentence for a rape charge. I work in a correctional facility and I know of inmates who are charged with murder that don't get that long a sentence. Very unfair.

Your right 18 years is unfair he should have recieved the death penalty and I personally hope he suffers the most horrible death in prision but not before he is raped by a few men himself

Am I reading this right, you want him to have a lighter sentence. He deserves to spend the rest of his life there. His poor kids.......

I have worked with this man for a few years and although I would have never guessed him to be the type...He was however a macho conceited guy. He deserves to rot in hell for what he did. He not only raped her..he beat her and left her to die. If you knew all of the details...you might just change your mind. Lighter sentence...are you crazy? Hopefully this pretty boy will become bubba's boyfriend.

This guy should have some real serious probing of his behind. The guys he's about to spend his next 16 yrs with will be glad to oblige.

I don't care what other people get, rapists have no place among us, unless they are castrated.

The guy is an animal for what he did...why did he have to beat her so badly and leave her to die???? And his friend is equally bad for not reporting it and standing by to guard the door!!! Yes...two sickos...except one got off for tattling to the police when he was caught!! That is a huge injustice. The worst part is this guy was capable of this violent act and also was TEACHING in an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Three Village District!!! He had a criminal history too that was a little further back than the school's mandatory search period. Don't tell me he didn't have violent thoughts about women before the rape....I'm sure he thought about it many times regarding his coworkers...I mean...he obviously planned the rape at the Mt. Sinai bar! I didn't just happen....very, very sick...psychopath...should have given him the death penalty..and that's not even good enough for him.

Are you kidding me??? A lighter sentence? Would you feel the same way if it were your daughter he attacked, raped and left to die?

Or has it been? Anyone know if he's been brutally assaulted yet in prison? How bout his wife..... Has she chosen to move on with her life and remove her two children from this sicko? The poor victim has to live with this every day. Who was the look out, what was his name? Anybody track him down and beat him???
