The Brookhaven Town Board voted 4-3, with opposition from GOP council members Jane Bonner, Dan Panico and Kathy Walsh, to set a public hearing on new legislation that would require businesses to remove graffiti within 48 hours after their properties have been vandalized.

The traffic congestion problem on rt347/25a needs to be addressed before we continue to build ANYTHING.
Mt Sinai does not need another shopping center, we need jobs such as medical centers or office /high technology industry. we do not need retail enough with the greedy retail centers selling more junk thats made in China.
What we do need is more parks and recreation on Long Island. The heritage/wedge park is jammed every weekend. this shows that we need more park areas. Parks increase our qualitie of life not more retail stores. We need more useable parkland not just wooded lots that you cant use.
Greedy developers: If anyone says Paul Elliot/soundview cares about the community.. I just about spit out on my keyboard. Greedy developers like Mr Elliot are the cause of the housing crash , now he will perpetuate a commercial real estate crash by just building and running.
People like Mr elliot get projects like this built , rent them up to mega corporations . Then the sell the project to the highest bidder , when the mega corp then moves on or goes bankrupt the investors and the community are left holding the bag. Does anyone still believe in SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT?
Mr Elliot does not care about the community his legacy will be one of greed not benevolance to the communities that he made his money from. He has been soft soaping the community with his bogus plans . Look at the watercolor picture provided above . It shows no retail , they want to sell you on a pretty clock tower . In less than 5 years that clock tower will be broken and the developer wont spend a dime to fix it because it doesnt ,make him any money.
How many times will the public get screwd before we say enough.
