5 charged in rape of teen

Five men were charged with raping a 17-year-old woman over the weekend at an Elk Grove Village motel, police said Monday.

Wow this kind of stuff makes me really sick. I can't believe five men would gang up on one girl and do such heinous things to her! Stuff like that makes us women afraid to leave our houses at night! Hell we're even scared to be anywhere at night, even the comfort of our own homes! It's all because some of you sick, perverted men that commit your nasty crimes and torture us women everyday.

I don't think that anyone deserves to be disrespedcted, or raped by any means. I just hope that the boys serve time for theier sick prank, and sick enjoyment. In reality is that it wasn't a brilliant thing for this young girl to be going to a hotel on a saturday. I'm sure that she had noo intensions on playing play station. This is another situation that good have be possibly avoided if parents would talk and explain to them what happens when we try act like adults. Im not sure if her parents even knew or even cared where the girl was going. I hope these pigs get what they deserve in the jail, but on another note this teen showed no respect for herself either..

Sensationalism in America's media...what a lovely interesting story...I call state, what utter rubbish is this, rubbish to fill the brains of people with very, very limited imagination.

Where is the analysis in this empty story?....Where were her parents at the time of the incident?....What is a 17-year old female doing with five men in a hotel room, late at night and on the weekend? Hmmm! Were the men drunk? Who sold them alcohol? Why did the hotel not have better security...it's America, we like to think that we do everything right, no?

Where is the identity of the men? Stop inventing lies...there isn't even a police officer's name attached to this rubbish. What hotel did the incident occur in? We may call the five men: perverts and psychos to satisfy our,'I'm a good guy ego!' This report is rubbish, rubbish and utter rubbish.

PJF- San Fran.., the story is very true..I worked on the case..the reason there was not more facts on this case is because there was a major headline here the same day..you might have heard..jennifer hudsons mom, brother and nephew were all murdered..it kinda stole the headlines..do your homework before shoot your yap off..we have enough rubbish to clean up here..chicago..

i think that the comments stating that it was her fault are sick and should be checked by a doctor there is no reason what so ever to be faulted if you had been raped, yes she should not have gone to the motel with five men but come on i doubt she would have known she was to be raped, rape is something that is disguesting and grusome and a crime that has to be stopped, rape changes a person in many ways, i think that those people who commented that it was her fault can go get a life because they DO NOT know what the heck they are saying

Elk Grove Village police said the 17-year-old female accompanied the men ranging in age from 17 to 21 to the Motel 6 at 1601 Oakton Street that evening. She and another female friend thought they were going to a party, according to Cook County State's Attorney office spokesman Andy Conklin.

When her friend left the room, the 17-year-old female said the men gave her vodka and beer, Conklin said. She said Edgar Barboza, 19, of Carpentersville, forced her to have sex while the others held her down and also assaulted her, according to Conklin.

What all you don't seem to know is that hotel parties are pretty common these days. I don't think you even have to be 21 to rent a room. Just another things for parents to wake up about. I don't think blame should be laid at the girls feet. I don't know about you but I had a lot more guys freinds than girl friends growing up because girls at this age can be really bitchy. I never once felt threaten by the guys I hung around.

It's not as off base as you think for a girl to go to a hotel for a party. I just wish she would have figured these guys for the creeps that they were.

No woman deserves to be raped. And some of us don't want to live a life so jaded that we feel we must assume the worst in everyone. Rape is a crime of violence. Being alone with a woman does not give anyone the right to rape her.......she is a young trusting soul......shame on the youg men who did this to her and I hope they get what they deserve so they dont do it to anynone else.....
