How come they allow employees to work out there without any type of drug testing done?

They're not going to test based on somebody's accusations. That's a good way to get sued .

So if someone gets hurt while another coworker is under the influence then they would investigate??
Sounds about right!

Everyone involved in the accident would be tested . Supervisors are trained in "reasonable cause" procedures so they CAN get an employee tested if they have good reason to suspect drug use.

MPNative...what if the supervisor is also a user? I would just like to know how Pilgrims allows electricians to work on equipment being impaired? Makes for a bad situation!

I agree with you . Electricity ( or working on machines , the line ,etc.) and being impaired don't mix .

It doesn't have to be the electrician's supervisor , though. It can be any two people trained in " reasonable suspicion" .( It takes two for legal reasons .) If you have a valid concern for the safety of your co-workers then mention it to a foreman , supervisor or manager that you trust or call the Hotline .

Sorry , it's PRIDEline . No , I don't have the number . If you work there it's posted all over . If not , call HR .

Please make sure you're right about this . The people who get involved are taking a big risk .

How do you know, Do you work for Pilgrim's? I also read in the paper that they arrested someone for stealing equipment from the company, Wonder if they tested him for drugs?

Is it true that someone from HR was playing around in the office when someone walked into the action and nothing was done? How can they get away with it?
