(8:00 AM, Thur Aug. 18) Anyone know the cause of this dense smoke? According to the SC Forestry Commission, there aren't any prescribed burns or wildfires in the area. It's almost impossible to breathe here in Cainhoy, and I can't imagine how difficult it must be for those with respiratory problems.

Thanks, Reggie. I figured it was a prescribed burn when I checked the Forestry Commission site and saw there weren't any wildfires. I wonder where in the FM they're conducting the burn?
