Charleston has turned into a cesspool of crime and corruption.

I do agree with your comment. If someone were moving here, like the first poster, I would seriously recommend Mt Pleas.
If you move or heard that Goose Creek was nice; then I would recommend living in Cane Bay Crossing.
You wouldn't be in the heart of GC, but would between there and Summerville.
Or Crowfield is OK too; older neighborhoods etc.
The crime in GC is terrible, as is most places.
Mt Pleas. is nice if you like the Wando river and upscale neighborhoods.
But you don't necessarily have to live in an upscale neighborhood to enjoy your surroundings.
I grew up in the Old Village and I loved it and have fond memories of being there.
I still live on the water today and I love it. It's just not in the OV.
Most people who live here in Mt Pleas have lived here their entire lives and still thrive.
It's really not a place for rich people, only.
There is a nice mix that blend in with everyone.
Pick a state PD.
I did and left something there. B ID
It's not hard to figure out. I'm trying really hard and hopefully I'll succeed.
Privacy is a good key and picking a state can give us that.
I need and want; I shouldn't have to say the rest. You can start four zero two
third page. Think hard and it's not far.
I have fond memories of the old bridge in Mt Pleas. I remember sneaking off with a few of my father's
fishing poles and fishing at the bridge.
Low tide, walking way out to the water to where the water begins.
I love flounder; it has always been my favorite fish. It was always so fascinating to me to watch them.
I don't mean to go on and on; I almost lost my way there.
N Charleston, much crime. Charleston, much crime. Mt Pleas, not horrible.

I would not recommend going into downtown Charleston at night.
Most tourist make that mistake, because they want to eat at Hymans
and take a walk through the market or Battery.
Not a good idea at night. It would be nothing for a thug to point a gun
in your face and leave you for dead.
It has happened before.
Going into downtown would be a little safer during the day.
This is just for whom ever; who wants to know.

Hanahan is OK. I'm not sure about the crime.
Speed trap on North Rhett, and the police there mean business.
Always stopping people.
You should be able to find a townhouse there or a home.
Also, check Crowfield and even Mt Pleas for renting.

Crowfield isn't far from hanahan at all.
There is a hole in the wall bar and grill, called hanahan's that's suppose to be really good, but haven't tried it.
It looks like a biker bar or something.
Which those type of places don't bother me.
Bikers are more nicer and down home than most people.
Let me what more I can tell you.

There are town homes here in my area.
There are some that are nice and older one's for about the same $ you are looking for.
On Nantahala Dr. I believe, but I can't remember the name of them.
This is really all I know, I guess.

Do you know anything about Avana at Wescott Plantation? Is it in a good school district, etc.?

The only thing I know is; the Avana is run by Greystar.
I had to look it up to make sure.
Greystar is a very good company to be with.
They really look after their tenants and they make sure everything is kept nice.
Wescott Plantation is a nice area; but it's location isn't the greatest.
Ashley Phosphate road can get very congested; and it is part of North Chas.
I hope this helps.
