I lost my job in the glass factory and now I find myself driving to the Mon Valley for a job that pays one half of what I used to make. I also pay 30 percent of my health insurance premiums. At age 62 I never bargained on this.

It is time for the teachers union to make some sacrifices. With the lavish salaries and benefits they make compared to the average citizen of Mt. Pleasant they don't need any financial incentives to retire.

The cost savings would be short term by hiring new teachers given the step system and hire starting salaries.
