Mount Pleasant Middle School would be replaced by a new school rather than being renovated, if the Cabarrus County school board goes along with a staff recommendation.

May I ask; what's wrong with the school now, is it falling apart? I understand our town is growing which is and will be bringing in more students and we will continue to grow in the years ahead which will be bringing in more students, but do we need a whole new school to accommodate the growth of a few hundred more students. Touch up the existing school and expand to accommodate the growth. I know Holly Blackwelder has her contractors license and she may see things that I and the general public may miss, but the county has taken real good care of this school and I just can't see our tax dollars being spent on building an entire new school then spend more of our tax dollars to tear the down the "old" school.

SCHOOL MONEY IS AN ENDLESS BLACK HOLE / PITFALL THAT EVERY YEAR I LOOK FOR THEM TO ASK FOR MORE MONEY.
FACT IS .69c OF EVERY TAX DOLLAR GOES TO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM ? WILD HUH ??? and they still can't make it work $$$$$$$$$$
