Is anybody going to do anything about it? No. So why even bother to report it? We all knew this grim statistic already anyway. Just take a drive through Reading. You don't need some egghead pencilneck to tell you that it's one of the most dangerous cities in America. Anyone can see that!!

Here we are downsizing our police force. My parents often spoke of how safe Reading was when the Mafia was in charge. Then the lowlife had something to fear. Yahoo! Hang on boys, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. This is the future of our country. Constant reports of violence and murder on the news. There was a time when a murder was shocking news. Now it is just an everyday occurrence. The United States is in for some troubled times, even more than we are currently dealing with. We are allowing our once great country to be taken over by low-life scum who take pride in the fact that they have taken a life. It is a badge of honor. I fear for the future of not only the city of Reading but also the county, the state, and the country.

Did anyone think it was going to get better? they are cutting the police force instead of adding to it. And they need to givethe police a little more freedom to do thier job. they are afraid to do their job in fear of losing their jobs. So what if they have to get a little rough with some crimianls.we are a country of pussys we need to get tough before it,s to late or is already to late.

It sure makes sense to reduce police force and dismantle city vice unit! What is really going on here with this administration?

Same old same old. Comes down to same old government inabilities to do anything right. We need to punish instead of tring to pass more laws that hurt law abiding citizens. Stoning would seem to be effective.

Suprise, suprise. Reading is an absolute pit. Disgusting. And it is the same thing every year that these #'s come out. The leaders of the city get on the TV and say something to the effect of "these numbers are wrong, they don't tell the real story" What you have is a certain portion of the population who want everything given to them and refuse to take any responsibilty whatsoever. They claim that there is all this crime because "we have nothing to do" BULL****!! Yean and now cut the police force, real smart geniuses!!

We need to take the handcuffs off the police for a month and let them do their jobs. Take a page from the old Frank Rizzo days in Philadelphia and let them get aggressive with these animals. You would be suprised how people fall into line after getting a nightstick across their heads a couple of times. The criminals are licking their chops right now with police layoffs. This city needs to be carpet bombed back to the stoneage.

HELLOOOOO!!!!!

The city jumps 26 spots on the list, probably the largest leap and they are even thinking, let alone talking about REDUCING the police force.
Wake up - Reading obviously does not have ENOUGH police!
That is scary most of us on this board are not far from a drive to Philly, Reading and/or Camden! I'd be safery in freaken New York!!!

Daily Horoscope for March 22

Aquarius

It's hard to make sense of things today, Aquarius. You may make others jealous or inspire opposition, but don't let that keep you down. If you try to repress your natural energy and enthusiasm, you won't be able to reach your fullest potential. Express yourself in the way you are most comfortable, but resist the urge to throw money at the problem, as that may start a conflagration which burns up more than you'd anticipated.
